That's why I don't put much weight in any individual polling firm, and like to rely on RCP's consensus and Silver's analysis.

That's understandable, although, even RCP's average was 3% off in 2012. It will be interesting to see if these polling groups can bounce back in 2014 and if Nate Silver continues his success.

Interesting read. Interesting how Nate Silver is now the Oracle on all things polling. Quite the rise to prominence.

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn.

And Nate totally foresaw the Eric Cantor smashing as well. face)(*^%

Yes he is and yes it is. But it is well deserved. He just uses raw numbers and his proprietary formula and does let any feelings get in the way. His Political Numbers are solid gold. I wouldn't rely much on his Sports Prediction numbers though. :)

Please show Nate's prediction on the Cantor race. Since there was none, I suspect you won't be able to, unless you do what you usually do, make it up. Keep arguing against Nate Silver's Political numbers, Casper. Better yet, bet against them.

Did he predict a Cantor win? I only saw his "what happened" deal after.

There was no public Polling on the Cantor race that I saw. The only polling numbers given were Cantor's Internal Polling, which obviously were biased, and obviously were tremendously wrong.

Ha, yeah I saw Cantor's internal polling numbers. Criminally wrong, what a joke.

Of course not.

Nate only bets on -200+ favs. And when he does stick his neck out, he falls on his phony ass.

President Barack Obama is the worst president since World War II, 33 percent of American voters say in a Quinnipiac University National Poll released today.

America would be better off if Republican Mitt Romney had won the 2012 presidential election, 45 percent of voters say, while 38 percent say the country would be worse off.

From noted right wing pollsters at Quinnipiac University
