Nobody will be able to touch the MONSTER this year.

24 years old, benches 485, 4.37 40, 41" vertical, 100 rec 1500 yds in 2001 playing on bad team. Now with LT to compliment, look out!

Only a degenerate Hip could stop that athletic monster right...

that is a funny statement..harrison and owens are great but Moss can get a td on any given play. That sets him apart.
Harrison has a GREAT QB with which together they are the best tandem in the nfl.
Owens is the best brute receiver in the nfl he gets away with alot of stuff.

Jman, imagine any damn linebacker getting a clean shot on any receiver besides maybe Boston.

Nobody is any tougher than Steve McNair. He is a football player and is on my team all the way.

jatee i have to agree with you. Moss is the only receiver for whom defensive coordinators admit to basing their entire defensive game plan around.

He is also the only WR in the league who is double covered on every play.
Ownes and Harrison are single covered for most of the plays.

Check the games out yourself and you will see what I am saying is true.

We always see Owens crossing the middle for wide open with a CB trailing him. Moss can not cross the middle like that. When he gets by the CB there is always a safety playing him to the inside. There are times he gets triple covered. Fassell openly said that in the NFC championship game of 2000 he had Moss triple covered for many of the plays.

Moss admittedly takes plays off... He WAS better at one time , I`ve seen Moss 'aligator arm' balls too... He`s overpaid and hasn`t lived up to the hype since he signed the big deal

J-Man,

How can you say that?

He has started off better than any WR in the NFL has ever started. Best first 5 seasons in NFL history.

He had a bad year last yr, correct? I agree.
But that bad year was:
106 Receptions (lead NFC)
1347 yards (lead NFC)
7 Td's (4thn in NFC) and would have more but Vikes had so many rushing td's in the red zone with their RB's and Culpepper.

And this was a "bad year".

MC, Moss is getting paid to play every down, MOSS was incredible when he broke in no doubt, but he`s not the very best player, he may not even make the Hall ...Attitude is everything, you can`t give best player honors to a guy with this bad an attitude.....

Lets not forget that when he broke in to the league he was not getting double and triple teamed. As I said before now defenses are gearing everything towards stopping him.

And believe it or not but Moss is one of the best downfield blockers on the run.

Watch video tapes of the games for the Vikings. You will see what I am saying.

Marshall Faulk over Michael Vick

When Vick wins a Super Bowl then we'll talk.

Vick still isn't a good passer in my opinion. A QB is more then just darting tackles.

I think Moss will have more of a Marvin Harrisonish stat year this year kinda like last year. This will happen until they get another decent player on offense (until Bennett comes back). The Vikings had horrible pass protection, no 2nd receiver at all, and a defense that was the worst. This being said, when they got down alot, Other teams would play back and double Randy Moss on every play. Daunte was forced to either throw into a double team or run the ball himself. Derrick Alexander was probably the biggest bust in the NFL last year or maybe Johnnie Morton.

To be honest, randy's numbers dont seem to be that bad on paper but alot of those #'s came in garbage time even though he was double teamed. #'s aren't everything, even Jerry RIce had down # years. The thing is how the defense plays according to you. Randy Moss changes the game more so than any other receiver because he the most dominant. Terrell Owens and David Boston come in 2nd. Marvin Next.

jatee,

Once again I agree with you.

And this year, I have read, that the Vikings may have the best offensive line in football.

david boston drops lots of balls, he is overrated, and with his extreme steroid abuse I would say he is very injury prone.

but he is dominant...he dominates corners and safeties lol are way too slow.. and your defense has to adjust when he is on the field. You can not put a corner on him who can match his speed because he will bully them and then if you put a bigger corner he is faster than all of them ie. bobby taylor and champ. The fact is he is dominating.

Boston is a the redefined "workout king". He reminds me of those 5-tool guys they love to talk about in baseball, supposedly will be among the best to ever play, well until he plays and it doesn't happen. Remember how great Tony Mandarich was going to be?

No one can cover TO, its tough to tackle Vick, but I gotta agree Faulk when healthy is just so damn dangerous both running and receiving you have to say he is the best on offense. Only guy on defense that comes close to Big Ray is Derrick Brooks, but he isn't the intimidating force so he has to settle for being second best.

I would take (pre ankle injury) McNabb over Vick on my football team. He is smarter and is alot more accurate. Philly still doesn't have a good receiver on their team talent wise but McNabb makes them ALOT better kinda like Favre.
