Cr is such a filthy country, how can anyone live there or even go there on vacation. I rather go to Harlem.

JJ you are incredible. It is so obvious that you have never been to Costa Rica. I go there once a year and you have no clue what you are missing. Beautiful women and outside of San Jose there are some beautiful places.

Seven the women are beautiful on the outside but once in the bedroom, noooo good. There cold and can't cook.

Maybe the outside of CR but the city areas you can forget, potholes, lizards, snakes, pacts of dogs, rodents all running around like they own it. Any time a car passes dirt gets in your face and on my $1000 suits i wear. Thieves everywhere, women always complaining, bad lighting, bad water, bad food.

JJ:

Panamenian women are UGLY. Not all of them, but I'd dare to say that 1 or 2 outta 10 makes the Hit-It cut. Honestly.

Maybe you ran into a hell of a woman there, but rest a ssured it was pure good luck. I've heard the "there-are-more-panamenian-miss-universe-chics-than-there-are-ticas" thing one too many times. That argument is good for those watching the action from the side, but the real players know C.R. is the shit for hunting.

Man, I've never been able to understand thsi fascination people have with Miami. It's acool city, but WTF? I'd much rather live in a city like Buenos Aires (pre-collapse, maybe even today) than in a city like Miami. It might sound off-topic, but I just wanna know why everybody loves Miami

Man oh Man,
Interesting posts,
now hear this, The "end" is near for the books "surfing the islands", many books have gone to different countries, and pretty much tarnished it.
What are the objectives of the book,
Is it the "entertainment, women, clubs, bars, restaurant??
Or is it The Infrastructure of the country, to properly run a Good Book, like Banking,
Communications, Proper monitoring Jurisdictions etc.
Seems like, The books want to set up shop, find the cheapest employees to do a shit load of work, Fvcuk the women, brag to their buddies how they got this one and that one, for $10 or what ever the figure, and laugh all the way to the bank, dont pay anything, like taxes and smooth sailing,

Hey, they pretty much done themselves in, If this biz is not regulated and controlled properly, its going to self destruct "implode"
You name the countries most books books have "messed" up, Grenada, St.kitts, Dominica, curacao, Antigua, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and now heading for Panama, nothing much about Canada, and UK and the other islands to the east, but where's next???? the reublic of Congo??

A year or two from now it would be interesting to hear which country is the new "hot spot"
lol,
the industry just needs proper regulations, and A Governing organization to monitor it and at least pay something to its Jurisdiction and the iffy books will be gone and the good and proper books will be around and the clients happy.
Hey, I have Gaming license for the Moon,
anyone interested?????????????????

Bets:

Prices get cheaper at the Canal Zone.

Wholesalers & Merchants from all over So. & Central America buy from the dealers in Panama.

Panama is very interesting because there is a substantial Jewish and Palestenian Community of merchants in the Import Zone, and they get along quite well.

My ONE VERY serious question.....

Is it not true that the US basically funds their gov't? How much do we send there a month?

TT:

I've been to Panama 3 -4 times in the last 15 months, and met with various people in various fields.

From my understanding, post Noriega, the puppet government that the US set up did everything and anything the US wanted.

However, there is recession there now, years have past, and governments changed.

While I'm not suggesting Panama is telling the US to fuk off, they are more open-minded now than in recent times.

Panama's real strength is the Canal, which earns billions. Ships pay, depending on weight, something like 150 DIMES EACH WAY+ just to pass thru the canal, and shipping goes on 24.7

Since Panama now solely controls the Canal, all these funds make up the heart of their economy.

The US Bases, are all closed now and were donated to the Panamian Government.

Great info Joey. I guess that it comes down to how hard the US wants to twist their arm to get the info that they want. Not that books would be the first thing they went after, but they WOULD get it if they wanted it bad enough.

Whatever happens I still believe Panamian Banks may be subject to U.S. agencies' ( IRS )influence there easier than anywhere else.

This makes it potentially dangerous for both books and players.

My two cents.

Dream:

Not sure about banking "secrecy" there, but I do believe Panama aint what it used to be, or for that matter, any jurisdiction is.

Now let's see what will fuk up Panama:

1. Guys that get drunk and loud in nice restaurants.

2. Guys that take their drug problems with them.

3. Guys that start flunting their wealth before the locals

4. Guys that start walking around like Johm Gotti wannabes with the bodyguards

Bottom line is that the guys that have these and other assorted problems, and bring that baggage with them, will ulitmately fuk up any spot.

The BM's that just work the long hours, and want to get a good dinner after work, and then get some sleep before they have to do it all over again the next day.

This is the kind of crap that brought all the resentment from the locals on the industry in CR.
