Agree. It's hilarious someone would think it's an advantage to sign a lot of JUCO's. No, correction....it's stupid as hell to think that!

Teams like Bama, LSU, UGA, FSU, etc fill holes in the roster w/ JUCO's. Teams like K-State, New Mexico, Southern Miss, etc count on JUCO's to contribute and become star players.

Anyone who thinks Snyder is a "great" coach really doesn't know much about college football.

I meant to say anyone who thinks Snyder "isn't" a great coach really doesn't know much about college football.

No edit buttom option....

loomis, you've said some of the most ignorant things tonight that I've ever seen from you on this forum. I expected better of you since you've been around here a while. There are very few highest bidders for JUCO recruits unless they are something very special. Most major college programs don't go the juco route unless there is an immediate need at a certain position. And there is a good reason for it. College coaches know the turnover rate is too hard to overcome when they bring in too many juco's. It's why they redshirt many freshman blue chip players out of high school. Even Snyder is starting to realize this. It's why he has been recruiting less juco's than he has in the past.

This......especially about lounytunes of late. I use to have a great deal of respect for loomis football knowledge. Thinking the guy may have hit a wall in life...not the same guy from years back. Hell, to each their own...................

Snyder is a good HC, but let's not go overboard here. His 1-4 bowl record speaks volumes. It is not like he is taking a bunch of freshmen and Juco's into these games. K-State has already played 12 games before their bowl games during those seasons. They were a pick against Syracuse and +1 against UCLA. They were -7 against Michigan, and that was the only bowl game that K-State won or even covered. Snyder and take average talent and mold them into winners, but he never has been able to mould them into a championship team in his most recent stay.

Snyder won the Big 12 a couple of years ago. I would call that a championship team. If you want to talk national championships, there are only about 10 programs in the country who are capable of winning one. And half of those programs are in the SEC. So lets not get carried away with the importance of national championships. In their bowl games, both Arkansas and UCLA had much more bluechip talent than KSU. They should have won those games. And I bet against KSU in both. The only bowl game that KSU played and lost where the other team didn't have more talent was Syracuse. But that was KSU's first bowl game is 4 years, back when Snyder was still trying to undo the mess that Prince left him. I swear, your a bad as Loomis. Think before you post. And stop posting just to be a contrarian. You are by far the worst one on the board for doing that. And I can see right through it...

GoSooner, you are going to have to learn something right now. I have seen more football, know about football, and have won more money at football than you will ever do. All you do is make excuses for a rather crappy Big 12 Conference that does not want to do things anyone elses way but their own. I TOLD you last season that the Big 12 would be odd man out unless some team ran the table. I was correct. This season the Big 12 will have a better shot because they have a gooed chance of getting a team with one loss into the playoffs because the other conferences (except the Big 12) are so competitive. Even that can backfire though, so do not be supried if it does.

You Big 12 fans are going to have to get rid of that Texas mentality that you have. You think your conference is one of the best in the FBS and it is not. You think tht you can do whatever you want and you can not. You never listen to anyone who knows more than you. I was proven correct last season and you were proven wrong. Now that is the way it was, and that is the way it is going to be beause all you can see is a very small part of the country. You are also going to have to stop making excuses for your terrible teams by saying that we sould not get carried away about winning national championships. That is a Chicken S**t copout and you know it. Just like your OU football team is coping out with this practice B.S. One last thing. NEVER tell me what to do. You have not earned that right and it is extremely doubtful that you ever will. You do not have what it takes for that. All you do is look for excuses.
