Detroit Lions

Easy now on my Lions. Just because they couldn't beat a .500 college team on any Sunday let alone a NFL team doesn't mean they are the worst franchise. What makes them the worst franchise is their freakin owners(Ford family) that continues to let Matt Millen run the team into the ground. What should happen and it was spoken of in the late 90's is that the Ford family should do the city and people of Detroit a favor and sell the team to Mike Illitch(Red Wings owner) and let someone that knows how to run a organization from the ground up.
It wasn't long ago that it was the Dead Wings and the Tigers were averaging less fans than some high school football games. Illitch knows what to do to revive dead teams. He builds them from the farm on up. Thats the way to do it.

Hey I root for the Lions all the time..

But look at this
2001- 2-14
2002- 3-13
2003- 5-11
2004- 6-10
2005- 5-11
2006 - 3-13

Overall 24-72 25%

I hope they get out of this mess but they have to be considered the worst franchise right now.

Point made, and a good one at that.

I am a fan all of teams and I would definitely agree. The Browns' new owner may be able to make the team competitive at least.

Thats tough man. You ever seriously consider moving to another market? As a diehard sports fan i think that would depress me to no end knowing all my local sports teams have no chance of winning every year. This year being a Jets fan was tough enough.

Let's get down to brass tacks. How much for the ap

What about the Browns? It feels like they have not made the playoffs since Bernie Kosar was there. Have blown two seperate overall #1 picks although i still think Couch could have played but they had too much inconsistancy in management/ coaching.

I do think however in 2012, they were the best "bad team".

Jets are tail-spinning out of control. Going to take years or either getting rid of Fatboy and Prettyboy ASAP.

Of these 4

AZ Cards have stood the test of time.

Since moving into a real NFL stadium in 2006, and since Michael Bidwill took over the operations of the team, the Cardinals are 105-112-2. So just a shade under a .500 team. During that stretch they made the playoffs 4 times and went to 1 Super Bowl. That's by no means great, but it sparkles in comparison to the previous 18 seasons when they played at Sun Devil Stadium and Bill Bidwill ran the team. During that stretch, they only had one winning season and one playoff appearance.

During the 5 year Bruce Arians era, the Cardinals were one of the top teams over that stretch. They averaged 10 wins a game and won 2 division titles.

Over their entire history, they certainly have been one of the worst NFL franchises. But things have definitely been far from putrid with Michael at the helm. He spends money and wants to win. His Dad was a good man but was a tight wad and a horrible owner.
