I'd like to join.

I'm beginning to post each day as a gift to humanity (lol). I don't think it's fair to count all the wins and only some of the losses so I don't qualify as a tout.

I would love to compete against all of these good handicappers but I hope there won't be any hard feelings when you all lose. I made this same post in the NFL football contest and I was embarrassed when someone beat me by a game. I promised never to let it happen again. If you use my post on the College hoops board today I'm 1-1. I have to make someone rich by the end of the year and I started off badly today. What sports are we covering?

By the way, Raider picked 37 games in College Basketball today. I insist on a sanity test (lol) and I encourage him to seek help.

Always loses- How much money you made this year capping? You have a lot to learn. You're still a pup when it comes to this. For most people it's wrong to play so many games. For me it works because I'll never cap under 55% for a month. Why play 3 games. If you get a bad break even if you are a good capper you'll lose. If you play lots of games the breaks even out and if you're any good at capping you will win. I don't suggest this for you. Play one or two games a day so you don't get hurt little pup.

Sorry Raider but you're wrong once more. I haven't been a young pup in a long time though I wish you were right about that. I spend a lot of time picking my name and then I realized that if I remained 100% truthful I could choose the name I chose. There may be days when I don't win (not many) but over a week or two I ALWAYS win. I pick ery few games. When I lose it's a small number of units. When you hit a bad day, the valley you find yourself in is so far down it has to take you a long time to get out of it. Also, I see so much bs here that I have to see statements like yours backed up before I believe them.. I hope what you say is true, but I have to see it. I'm sure you can understand this this. No disrespect intended. I like your % and I started to watch your picks, but I immediately begin by not respecting handicapping ability when I see a ton of picks. Please prove me wrong. I'd like to say that you've shown me the better way (for you) and I think you have great ability.

Alwayswins- I agree with you on the amount of bs on this board. I too have been doing this a long time and wouldn't recommend this to others but know what works for me. I'm not a great college basketball capper. I'm more of a numbers guy. I try to get low vig and a good line. I lost for 15 straight years in basketball. That's why I ask questions to the guys I respect here in the RR. The past few years I've held my own and made some $ in CBB by playing lots of games. Each person has to do what works for him.

Raider, you said "Each person has to do what works for him." Since we both go back a ways, the only question is which of us said this first (lol). I couldn't agree more. The only handicapping I do well is pro football. I came in second in the NFL contest with a record of 22-10. Collecting was a chore cummunication between this board and the new sponsor), but I finally did and picked up a good out. My plays are mainly those of good handicappers I find and handicappers that are going well. I also feel that one should do what is best for them, and I will follow when they do their thing because then it is best for me. A little selfish perhaps, but they don't lose anything. Every once in a while I run into someone like this kid WDR who wrote something like, when a player plays another's picks, he is being a parasite. My response is always, no book has ever asked where I got my winners and none ever will. My experstise in the programming area so that if a computer can be involved in the selection process, I can use it to it's fullest extent. If you have any questions in the area, feel free to ask.

On another not, I'd like to see a contest, in basketball, football and or hockey where each player picks, say exactly 3 or 4 games, all equal. It would be easy to evaluate and you might really get the best handicapper. The bonus would be that if someone got hot or was just the best, everyone would benefit if they chose to. What do you think?

The handicapping contest that you proposed is a great idea. We are on the same page. You don't have to be the best at everything as long as you know where to look. I'm really looking forward to baseball season. I think the most money can be made then. Books are getting more competitive hence more 10 cent lines along with overnight lines. Let's make some money.
