Payment sent for NFL. I hope the increase in entry fee doesn't reduce the number of entries. Is there a way to market this contest outside of RX as well? Seems like we should have hundreds of entries if more people new about it. Thanks for all your work JOH.

There might be a way for it to be more Searchable , because our SEO is pretty good ..
I have a few ideas ..

and I Don't think the $50 bump will put much of a dent in Entries ... There were a ton of people over the past 2 years asking for it
and to help it, I Started Entries a month early

Pay the top 3 (50%-30%-20%) and call it a day for the big contest.

Maybe try a mixed college and pro contest with 7 picks. NO lead ever would be safe using that format.

The bigger question might be Who would, and how many would we get for a $500 Buy in ??
Don't think we would get Half of what we get in our Current contest, which is 100+ entries

So i'm guessing we would only get 20 at most.

We have thought about a Mixed contest a few years ago, and don't think it got much interest.

I like the current format now with each league contest being separate

I mentioned possibly doing a mixed college and pro contest with 7-10 picks per week, if a $500 or higher contest was put together here.

Having only NFL seems more realistic because a key factor is shortening the time window from posting lines to the deadline.

If you only get 20 people at $500-1,000 what's wrong with that? It'll be a nice pot still and you'd only need to pay out 1 or 2 winners with 20 people. I'll bet that this forum can get at least 20 people with a $1,000 entry fee. If the payout structure and rules are reasonable, count me in.

Drop the Thursday and Friday games altogether as selections. It makes transparency more difficult and posting the lines too early makes it more of a playing line moves contest than handicapping. Use the widely available consensus lines Friday afternoon and the pick deadline is the same as Westgate's deadline. Having the same deadline is helpful because many of us will be in the rx's traditional nfl contest along with the westgate.
