The Catholic Church should stay out of politics ... heck, Hitler based his whole removal of the Jews from the persecution of Jews by the Catholic Church during the 12th -14th century periods

Because I dont believe in abortion and a vote for a candidate that does, that makes it wrong?? That to me is like saying because I buy from 7-11 and they sell porn that I am depraved MF ....

I have voted both ways ... the Catholic Church took over 40 yrs to condemn the treatment of Jews after WW2 .. I vote for who I feel has the best policies at the time because I know of plenty of catholics who go to Church once a week and claim to be "Holier than thou" and yet are cheating on their wives, screwing folks in business deals, etc

My god - I must be sick - I agreed with eek last week, and now I agree with Doc - I'm going to take two aspirin and go to bed - maybe this is just a nightmare that I'll wake up from!

I've always considered the Catholic Church to be a part of the Democrat Party - at least in the People's Republic of Massachusetts they are.
Do you remember Father Drynan? He was a Representative from Massachusetts.

Lander, in your experience do you place the Catholic Church with the left or the right?

Until the this election - middle/slight right, but one can't help but get sick at the numerous reports of the Catholic Churches (tax-exempt supposed non-political) advising their congragations that a vote for Kerry is a sin.
