Going to lay a little juice with one of the hottest pitching staffs in baseball.

Last night Luis Severino became the latest Mets starter to bring it, allowing 1 run over 7 innings of the 4-1 win over the Red Sox last night..

That was the 5th straight start for Mets pitchers who have given up 2 earned runs or less.

The streak started with tonight's pitcher David Peterson.

He beat the D'backs on the road with 7 innings of 2-run ball in the 3-2 win.

Then came the 3-game sweep on the road over the White Sox.

Then Tylor Megill allowed 1 run in 5 1/3 innings of a 5-1 win, followed by Jose Quintana 2 earned over 5 innings of the 5-3 win..

Lastly, Sean Manaea and his 7 shutout innings in the 2-0 win.

Now it's back to Peterson, who in his last 5 starts is 3-0 with a pair of no decisions.

The Mets have won all 5.

As for the Red Sox, they are struggling.

With that loss last night, they have now lost 3 straight scoring 3 runs total.

They are 5-10 their last 15 games having scored 4 or less in 11 of those.

Kutter Crawford brings his 8-12 and 4.12 ERA to the big apple trying to stop his 3-game losing streak.

His last 2 road starts were not good, losing 8-4 at Kansas City and 4-2 at Baltimore.

I don't see this guy beating Peterson and I don't' see this guy quieting the Mets bats.
