My Analysis

I like the home team here.



The Colorado Rockies get to face a rookie pitcher tonight pitching in the altitude for the first time and who's first 3 Major league starts have come at home.



Yes, the team is raving about rookie DJ Herz, who is 1-1 with a 3.77 ERA in 3 starts this year.



He comes in off 6 scoreless innings against the Marlins, a game he struck out 13 batters to get his first major league win.



The Nats young lefty gave up 4 earned in his debut on June 4th and then 2 earned over 4 1/3 innings in a no decision against the Braves.



Now he pitches on the road for the first time.



Rockies counter with Dakota Hudson, who comes off perhaps two of his best starts of the year with nothing to show for it.



Hudson has allowed just 4 earned runs over his last 12 innings but went 0-2 due to lack of run support.



As manager Bud Black said after his start against the Pirates on Sunday, a start he gave up 3 earned in 5 1/3 innings, "He threw great, and he deserved a better fate for sure."



Well the Nationals might be just what he needs because in 8 career appearances against them he is 3-1 with a 2.74 ERA.

Well, they don't get much easier than Logan Gilbert's gem yesterday delivering the 100 dime winner on the Mariners Run Line 9-0 over the Marlins.
The Seattle right hander dominated the Marlins with a 4 hitter over 8 scoreless innings aided by 3 double play grounders as he lowered his ERA to 2.71
Bottom line: it was a must-win Saturday and I got it but I have to build off of it with a winner on this Sunday card.
I move to the Sunday night game as the Mets and Cubs wrap up their 3-game set at Wrigley.
Mets took game one Friday night in an 11-1 blowout with the Cubs grabbing game 2 in an 8-1 blowout Saturday.
Rubber game tonight as I look to deliver this 3rd straight 50 dime winner and get the 2-0 weekend sweep.
