My Analysis

I just don't see a blowout.



The Minnesota Timberwolves started off these playoffs going a perfect 6-0 SU and ATS after winning the first two games in Denver outright.



Then they lost their way losing 3 in a row, the last without point guard Mike Conley.



Back home for game 6, they took advantage of a complete Denver "no show" and routed the defending champs 115-70.



It was the worst playoff defeat of an NBA champion in NBA history.



Now some would argue the Nuggets will just come back home and blowout Minny.



Well I am not one of them.



The Denver no show in game 6 gave a young team life and in the playoffs, you just don't want to do that.



With Mike Conley back, it allows Anthony Edwards to play off the ball more and that is where he is at his best.



Can Minnesota win this game outright and get ready for Dallas? Absolutely they can.



Bottom line is this: game 7. Winner take all. I am grabbing the points and calling for this one to come down to the wire.

My Analysis

He stinks.



Reid Detmers is 3-4 this year with an ERA of 5.19.



He comes off a a five runs on 8 hits in 5 innings of a 7-6 loss to the Cardinals.



Now he faces an Astros team that flat out owns him.



In 7 career starts he is 1-3 with a 6.42 ERA.



Last year he faced them 3 times and was 0-2 with a 10.13 ERA allowing 15 runs in 13 1/3 innings.



OUCH.



The Astros send Framber Valdez to the hill.



He comes off a 2nd consecutive start of 7 plus innings and is 3-1 since coming off the DL courtesy of left elbow soreness.



In 14 career starts versus the Anges he is 9-4 with a 3.68 ERA.



His 9 wins versus the Angels are the most against any single opponent.



Last year he was 2-0 with a 2.53 ERA against them.

Well it's a start.

Nice to finish the week off with the 75 dime T' Wolves (+5) outright over the Nuggets. A 3rd straight 75 dime winner.
I said in my analysis that Denver would regret the "no show" in game 6. I noted losing by 45 thinking we will just come home and win, big mistake.
What they did laying down in game 6, scoring 70, getting beat worse than any defending NBA champ in a playoff game in NBA history, was beyond embarrassing.
And giving the young bucks life, well it came right back and bit them in the ass.
