Well, the 5-day football run continues as my 150 Dime winner Saturday gets it done with Colorado 36-14 over Nebraska.

That was after Thursday's 75 dime winner on the Detroit Lions rolling into Kansas City and beating the defending world champs 21-20.

The Pittsburgh Steelers under Mike Tomlin always come out of the box ready to play some football.



In his previous 16 season openers he is 10-5-1 SU and the amazing thing is that only 5 of them have been at Heinz field.



Crazy right!! This is only his 6th home opener in 17 years.



How did he do in his previous 5? He is 4-1 SU, beating the Texans in 08, Titans in 09, Falcons in 2010 and the Browns in 2014.



The only loss was to the Titans in 2013.



This Steelers team is playing at home to open the season for the first time in 9 years!



You don't think this stadium is going to be nuts????



The Steelers are also trying to make it 4 straight week 1 wins.



It was 3 years ago they rolled into Giants and won 26-16. It was 2 years ago they rolled into Buffalo and won 23-20. It was last year they rolled into Cincy and won 23-20.



There isn't a single ounce of doubt he will have his Steelers ready.



And for me, I will force Brock Purdy, Mr. Irrelevant, the last player chosen in last year's draft, to beat me. Simple as that.



Did he play great last year?? Sure he did, but now teams have film on him and the 2nd go around will be a bit different.



And opening up on the road, in this stadium, early start (10 am PST) and when your starters hardly played in the preseason, isn't going to be easy.


I know the fanfare surrounding San Fran is huge, considering they have played in the NFC championship game 3 of the last 4 years.



However, this is a tough spot for them.

Folks, this reminds me a lot of Tom Brady going to Tampa Bay.
