Sometimes when you handicap a game it looks fantastic on paper. Then you start watching the game and realize you are on the wrong side.

It's not a good feeling and that was exactly the case with my 100 dime release on Navy over Notre Dame on Saturday.

A better Navy team than the one that lost 35-32 to the Irish last year but yet the military boys with 17 returning starters could do nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Not the way I wanted the first Saturday to go.

Momentum was right there after the 75 dime winner on the Titans hammering the Pattriots on Friday only to come up short on Saturday.

Listen, last 21 days a $10 bettor has made 5,000. Folks this has been a rock solid run in the month of August and a lot of the damage has been on the diamond.

In their week one preseason win over the Chiefs 26-24, the Saints won the first half 17-7 covering the -1.



In their week two preseason win over the Chargers 22-17, the Saints won the first half 13-10 covering the -2.



Now here we are, week 3 of the preseason at home, I like them to again cover the first half.



First and foremost, head coach Dennis Allen has been pretty mum about where Derek Carr is playing at all.



Quite frankly, this play isn't based on Carr playing. Is based on the Saints defense dominating rookie Charles Stroud.



Last week against the Dolphins Stroud was average at best going 7 of 12 for 60 yards.



Expect him to see a lot of him in this spot here but do we really expect to see him shine on the road against the Saints 1's and 2's??



Not buying here folks.



As for New Orleans, in the Chiefs win Jameis Winston was 11 of 13 for 105 and Jake Haener was 10 of 17 for 105 yards.



In the win over the Chargers Winston was 13 of 21 for 169 yards and Haener was 11 of 17 for 118 yards.



Folks, at home, with these two guys slinging it, the Saints will win the first half of this game by 3 points or more.
