I just love how one guy in the bullpen can cost you. How he can fu#$#k you in the ass.
My 80 dimer on the Padres last night was 3-outs away from money in the bank when reliever Luis Garcia came on in the bottom of the 9th up 4-2.
Closer Josh Hader was unavailable so it was Garcia, who manager Bob Melvin said after the game, "We wanted to give him a chance. Try to get him going."
Nice job Bob. Let's give a hack with an ERA over 5 a chance in a massive game against a division rival in a critical series.
So what does Garcia do to start the 9th.... he commits the cardinal sin of baseball, the one thing you can't do, the one thing managers talk about until they are blue in the face.
He walks the leadoff man.
Well, you know what happens next. It leads to 2-runs, the game leads to extra's and of course the Giants win in the bottom of the 10th.
After the 100 dime winner Friday, the 150 dime winner Saturday and the 80 dime winner Sunday, can't get #4 in a row because of a hack reliever.
Frustrating? Absolutely. Pissed off? Absolutely. Want to beat someone's ass? Absolutely.
However, as much as I would like to catch a flight to San Francisco, get a ticket to tonight's game, sit by the Padre bullpen and heckel Garcia all night, it's just not feasible.
Instead, I have to stay hot in baseball. I have to get back in the winners circle. Make it 4 out of 5.

The bottom line is that SF was on a seven-game winning streak going into last night's game including just sweeping and annihilating
the Dodgers on the road.
So LOSER and arrogant Lang decides he is going to show the world he is prescient enough to show the world that he knows
that the streak is going to end because he says so!!
