I agree.

An 8 team playoff would mean all the Big 5 Conference Championships would be "win and your in" playoff games.

Let the committee decide the 3 at-large spots, and set the pairings. That's it.

Simple.

NCAA squandering a massive opportunity to greatly enhance the Value of their brand here and to increase Interest in Key areas of the country

by not having in place a system that allows OK Sooners with Mayfield and that powerful offense into this, by leaving out USC and what they've managed to accomplish after Darnold taking over at QB. Michigan, PSU...

and the way you put it: "The Big 5 Conference Championships would be "win and your in" playoff games."

Jeez.

NCAA even should be able to see the change they need to make.

Just a shame that could not be, for this season.....many great teams that would have brought some serious fireworks to a TRUE Natty Champ

playoff.

total joke that Ohio State gets in. they do not deserve it over Penn St.

NCAA and this faux championship is a complete farce.

I have a problem with a 2 loss Penn State team getting in, but I also have a problem with a team not winning it's own championship getting in. Looks like we'll have a rematch of last years game.

They would have to figure out a way to get the Rose Bowl on board with an 8-team playoff. I don't even think they wanted to be a part of a 4-team playoff. All the Rose Bowl wants is a Pac 12 vs Big 10 match up.

And they don't want to move from their 2pm pacific time slot on New Years Day. That's why the Semis are being played on New Years Eve in the odd years.

Great Point, that did not occur to me: about The Rose Bowl.

I'd imagine NCAA can pretty much dictate, to all Bowl Committees what they are going to do

but if there were an exception to that, a Bowl they could not dictate to

that would be The Rose Bowl. :):)

I'd need a Play-In game also, between a couple of Wild Cards

so that I could get 13-0 Western Michigan a shot

at Glory :):)

As a Alabama fan i would never bet against them, but will bet with them and this year i seen several minus 20's and 30's and thought wow no way,now not that i went against them, but i either passed or bet the total instead. This 14.5 which is like -16 some places now don't scare me,especially dealing with this kind of offense.

Just look at some of these scores of these games, and take a look at the rushing yards that Florida had-0

Alabama gives up 63.8 rushing yards a game= insane,....go ahead bet against them :missingte
