This isn't a "timelely issue"
The State Department admitted Thursday that the US would not hand over $400 million in cash to Iran until it released four American hostages — two weeks after President Obama insisted the payment was not a “ransom.”
State Department spokesman John Kirby was asked at Thursday’s press briefing: “In basic English, you’re saying you wouldn’t give them $400 million in cash until the prisoners were released, correct?”
“That’s correct,” Kirby replied.
Obama "lied" for good intentions. He's trying to bring us together. Rest of congress trying to fuck it up. It wasn't a ransom payment because the money was frozen assets. It was a timing matter. State department lying if anyone. But of course you are going to say we werrnt going to give them their assets back unless our amercians were released. Of course they going to say that. But obama was speaking the truth because the incidents were unreleated. If you wanted him to hold it over their heads....then yea but he wasn't going to do that cuz he was trying to strengthen
Nah but I'm not a fool to think this is how the story really went. Why 400 million? Oh because it was their money. Do you think we said.....oh well we will give you 400mill to release those prisoners. The money was over something else. It just so happens we want our American prisoners back too which is mother fucking free according to Obamas beliefs. Because if we have any deal then obviously we are negotiating and in it to make the world a better place. But other people in the state department don't have his same views clearly so they will say it how they see it.
But to say he lied here? Na.
