Hysterical.

That is what is so funny about people like this troll.

They completely ignore any information that is contrary to their view and pronounce the "debate" over.

Laugh out loud funny.

The evidence is backed by facts. Just like Global Warming. You are always on the other side of educated people. That's why you don't get it. Educated people understand that the crisis was driven by the large increase in private mortgage lending, with little or no underwriting standards. It's not even a debate. Only retards still don't get it. So I guess it makes sense you are still arguing against what everyone already knows. Pretty hilarious.

Except for the economist at the Fed who wrote the paper I linked to.

You know, the one you laughably tried to misrepresent.

Except for the citation to one of the Financial Commission's members who wrote a 90 page dissent.

It is so "clear cut" that the dummy wrote 90 pages in disagreement!

Uh, I'm more educated than you, and you comically said that the private sector "took over right before the collapse" when in fact they were getting out of the market.

Probably because you're so smart.

You're making up your definition of right before. When looking at the decades long data, their entrance came in right before the collapse. The fact you argue such trivial points is hilarious. Sign of a desperate person. And you are not more educated than me. You are in fact very dumb.

The agency neglected to examine whether borrowers could make the payments on the loans that Freddie and Fannie classified as affordable. From 2004 to 2006, the two purchased $434 billion in securities backed by subprime loans, creating a market for more such lending. Subprime loans are targeted toward borrowers with poor credit, and they generally carry higher interest rates than conventional loans.

Except there isn't "decades worth of data" on subprime loans.

Idiot.

Lmao!!! That chart clearly shows my assertion is correct. You are really dumb.

Actually, it refutes what you said in the entirety.

And this isn't the 1st time you've tried to lie about a reference.

I'm more educated than you, so you can't grasp these facts.

No one is saying F&F was innocent. As the official commission report says, they were followers. It was the massive increase of private subprime mortgages that caused the bubble. It was then what Wall Street did with those mortgages that caused the financial collapse. All of this has been known for years.

Except, dumb fuck, you didn't post "decades" worth of data.

You posted a chart that went from 2001-2009

"Decades" doesn't mean what you think it means you imbecile.

That one graph shows 2001-2009. Does not mean for decades the private market was really none existent in MBS issuance and it wasn't until they got involved in those years before the crisis that caused the crisis. The stuff you argue is ridiculous, lol.

it's official, vettard reneged on his bet with Dave. What a surprise

he couldn't stay away, so he talks politics in the main forum (I can accept that in and by itself so long as he didn't start the thread)

but now, starting a thread to talk politics in another sub-forum is a violation of the bet, and Vettard is officially a stiff

and combined with his political involvement in other arenas, he's really a super-stiff

Is Wrong Way, who is wrong about EVERYTHING in the Poly Forum, and evidently, about EVERYTHING related to the Poly Forum, actually saying Vit is stiffing a bet that he made to stay out of the Poly Forum by posting here, or starting threads about Politics in the main Forum? I know Wrong Way's a liar, and is frequently pretty stupid, but even for him, that's quite the stretch. Here is the Bet between Vit and J Deuce. "Anyway, for those of you who don't know the deal, here goes: If vtard doesn't post a profit betting CFB and NFL by the end of the year, he can't post in the Poli forum for a year. If he does indeed turn a profit, I'm on a one-year hiatus."

Willie is LYING. He's not as big a liar as Ace, but he is wrong more often than Ace, because 100% is 100%. Of course Clueless Ace is agreeing with Wrong Way, by calling Vit a Stiff, when he isn't a stiff. Nowhere in that bet is Vit giving up posting about Politics, or starting threads about Politics. The Bet was to stay out of the Poly Forum. PERIOD. Vit, has met those terms to the tee. The place is ALOT poorer for it.

Wow. You resorted to HA HA in every post. Sad. The bet was no posting in poly forum for a year. Wonder why you didn't say a word to dave007 when he lost a bet to me for same thing and still posted about politicsin other parts of the forum. Acebb hypocrisy strikes again. Please stop sticking your chin out.

Come on Vit. You know I was pulling for you on the Poly Forum wager but you lost the bet. You started this thread and even mentioned the Poly Forum in the title. It may be a technicality but you are totally violating the spirit of the wager. You can't post in the Poly Forum so you bring the Poly Forum to another Forum to circumvent the rules of the original wager. Not sure how you reconcile the two but since you started the thread and didn't simply respond to another post, I consider your actions to be considered backing out of a lost wager.

Hopefully you will do the right thing.
