My last few trips I've booked rooms at a decent rate on my own and just used the comps for food.
Its not like it used to be out there. Better off paying for room, getting food comped and having no required play at a specific casino.

The SouthPoint however is fantastic when it comes to comps IMO.

yea i go there a couple times when im out there, but i have to start spending some quality time there and build up

Unless you are a hi-roller or know somebody, you are not going to get much nowadays.....that is a sad truth.....betting 25 bucks a hand no longer qualifies, even downtown.....

dont the Orleans have players card and if so sign up for it next time cant hurt

yea i have a players card for there, and believe it or not they have a pretty good players card.i get one in every casino i go into

the only thing i don't like about their card is,if you play at one of their other properties they don't add up the points on your card, they say it has to be at the hotel you are staying at

Very stupid rule! (Does not really seem possible)

Enough to flush them from consideration.

I don't think that's possible. The card is the B-Connected card from Boyd and points accumulate at any Boyd hotel/casino. Doesn't matter if you are at the Fremont, Sam's Town or California Hotel.

it is reality, they told me that playing at the other properties does not go towards your stay at the hotel you are currently staying at.its just like their promotioms, like on the day i arrive at the orleans, sam's town has a special 7x points for one promotion and an 11x for another but they say you have to be a registered guest at the hotel to get the promotions, its not just cause you have a b-connected card that you get that

That's really strange. Usually when you have those X points days, they are good for anyone who plays in the casino. I understand that comp points might be only for the casino you are staying at, but overall points to be redeemed for cash, accumulate for all their properties.
