  • Seal Bearing Name of Judean King Found in Jerusalem - Ilan Ben Zion
Archaeologists deciphered a seal impression bearing the name of the 8th century BCE biblical King Hezekiah found during excavations next to the Old City of Jerusalem, the Hebrew University announced Wednesday. The centimeter-long bulla, a stamp seal impression bearing the name "Hezekiah [son of] Ahaz, king of Judah," an 8th century BCE Judean ruler, was one of dozens found in recent years in a royal building in the Ophel situated immediately south of the Temple Mount, excavation leader Dr. Eilat Mazar said. Mazar called the artifact "the closest as ever that we can get to something that was most likely held by King Hezekiah himself."
The bulla was found during excavations in 2009 but its significance was initially overlooked by researchers. Only this year did Hebrew University archaeologist Reut Ben Arieh decipher the inscription on the seal impression and determine its significance. (Times of Israel)

  • P.S. No 'Palestinian' artifacts were found.

ISIS has released a series of depraved execution videos from Yemen whose ongoing sectarian war has allowed the terror group to spread its tentacles into the country.
Four videos show Houthi rebels, who are battling both the government and al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP), being executed in different sickening scenarios in a desert location.
Six men were blown up by a rocket launcher, another six were put on a boat which was sent out to sea and exploded, four were obliterated by the mortar shells hung around their necks and nine were beheaded with sharp daggers.

The truth about Muslims in America

By Holly Yan, CNN
Updated 1:30 AM ET, Wed December 9, 2015 | Video Source: CNN

Story highlights

  • American Muslims have alerted law enforcement to more terror suspects than U.S. intelligence has
  • Muslims are the most racially diverse religious group in the country

This report includes facts and figures from various surveys and studies, all of which are hyperlinked in the body of the story.
(CNN)Donald Trump sparked a firestorm of criticism from liberals, conservatives and those in between when he called for a ban on Muslims entering the United States.

But while such a ban is unlikely to be implemented in a country with freedom of religion, the cheers that followed his announcement at a South Carolina rally are telling.
"I think that we should definitely disallow any Muslims from coming in. Any of them," supporter Charlie Marzka, 75, told CNN. "The reason is simple: We can't identify what their attitude is."
Indeed, the truth about Muslims in America is perhaps surprising -- but not in the way Trump and his supporters might think.
A look at polls and studies conducted in the last few years shows that Muslims have been crucial in helping law enforcement find terror suspects in the United States. Many have served in the military protecting the country against terrorists. And in many ways, they're a lot like other everyday Americans.
Here's the reality of Muslims in America -- and how it smashes stereotypes:
They are a minuscule portion of the U.S. population

It's difficult to come by hard numbers because the U.S. Census doesn't collect religious data. But the fear of Muslims taking over and imposing Sharia law is unfounded. By some estimates, Muslims make up less than 1% of the U.S. adult population. By 2050, their numbers will grow -- to 2.1%. Of all the Muslims in America, 63% are exactly the kind Trump wants banned -- immigrants.
They're better educated than most Americans

U.S. Muslims have the second-highest level of education among major religious groups in the country; Jews have the highest. And a greater proportion of them have college degrees than the general U.S. population.
They have more gender equality

While in many parts of the Muslim world, women are confined to second-class status, that's not the case among American Muslims. Virtually all of them, 90%, agree that women should be able to work outside the home. American Muslim women hold more college or postgraduate degrees than Muslim men. And they are more likely to work in professional fields than women from most other U.S. religious groups.
They've been here since the birth of the nation ...

Scholars estimate about a quarter to a third of the Africans brought to the United States as slaves were Muslims. Most were then forced to convert to Christianity.
... and they're not just clustered in big cities

American Muslims live in cities big and small all across the United States. The first mosque built in America was in, of all places, Ross, North Dakota, back in 1929.
They're as religious as Christians ...

The general perception of Muslims has one thing right: Most Muslims are very religious. About half say they attend the weekly Friday prayers. But that makes them similar to Christians: About 70% of Christians say religion is important in their lives, and about 45% go to a weekly service.
... but they're not as dogmatic as they are portrayed

Much has been made about fundamentalist Muslims and their strict interpretation of the Quran. But most American Muslims are different. A Pew religious landscape survey found that 57% of American Muslims say there is more than one way to interpret Islam's teachings. A similar number say many different religions can lead to eternal life.
There have been Muslims involved in terrorism ...

From September 11, 2001, until the end of 2014, 109 Muslim-Americans plotted against targets in the United States. And terrorism by Muslim-Americans killed 50 in the same time period. Contrast that with the deaths from other mass shootings just last year: 136 -- more than twice as many as all the deaths from 13 years of Muslim-American terrorism.

... but they've also spoken out against it

After every terrorist attack at home and abroad, the refrain rises, "Where is the Muslim condemnation?" American Muslims have spoken out -- and done much more. A Duke University study found more terrorism suspects and perpetrators were brought to the attention of law enforcement by members of the Muslim-American community than were discovered through U.S. government investigations. And a Pew survey found that roughly half of U.S. Muslims say their religious leaders aren't speaking out enough against Islamic extremism.

Lots of love for her, and she has many powerful insights. But she misses the mark here. Forces outside of Islam do not create Islamic terrorists. They do not react to our misdeeds; we react to theirs. Their interpretation of their own holy book and the desire to force that enslavement down everyone's throats is what creates terrorists. How we respond to terrorism may decide where next they attack but that does not increase their numbers.

[h=1]‘Sharia compliant’: Malaysia launches its first airline governed by Islamic law[/h]Published time: 21 Dec, 2015 22:41

A new airline has launched in Malaysia which follows the rules of Islamic law in a first for the country. During flights, there is no alcohol served and only halal food is provided.
Rayani Air’s maiden flight took place on Sunday ferrying 150 passengers from the capital Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, a popular tourist destination where the airline is headquartered.
There are a number of Sharia based rules and regulations in place for all flights offered by the airline, which services five domestic locations. Muslim women who work as part of the cabin crew must wear a hijab while non-Muslim women must wear a "decent uniform," Managing Director Jaafar Zamhari told local media.

Before each flight takes off, there will be a recital of prayers, while in flight, no alcohol will be served and any food or beverages provided will be halal, i.e. permissible under Islamic law.
Currently operating with two Boeing 737 jets, the airline hopes to offer flights to Mecca for the Umrah and Hajj pilgrimages in the coming years.

Rayani Air brings to four the number of shariah compliant airlines around the world with Royal Brunei Airlines, Saudi Arabian Airlines and Iran Air being the other three.
In October, Bloomberg reported that London based startup Firnas Airways were also planning to launch in 2016 with a similar offering for its passengers.

Your phony prophet was a pedophile who murdered any non-Muslim who committed blasphemy against Islam - one of many barbaric teachings your fucked up cult you call a 'religion' teaches and preaches to this day.

Ever wonder why throughout history "moderate" Islam never rose up to defeat the "radical" sects once and for all? Because these 'moderates' the loony left romanticizes about don't exist, at least not in any significant numbers to make a dent in the problem.

Wasn't Hitler once nominated for the Nobel Peace prize? face)(*^%

If there's an earthquake in Algeria on Thursday and people are trapped beneath buildings, which country will be digging these people out and taking them for treatment in a field hospital they'll have operating by Friday? Why do Arabs raise their children to be hateful and stupid ingrates?

Because they're Muslims.

Mohammed had the Jewish poet Abu Afak assassinated for opposing him through poetry. Coexistence (with non-Muslims) is a long time Islamic tradition.

Don't worry, The Guesser will be along shortly to post some heartwarming multicultural Muslim holiday peace message shared by...MAYBE 5% of the global Muslim population? :icon_conf

AND

“We felt like the Taliban saw us as little dolls to control, telling us what to do and how to dress. I thought if God wanted us to be like that He wouldn’t have made us all different. "

“As we crossed the Malakand Pass I saw a young girl selling oranges. She was scratching marks on a piece of paper with a pencil to account for the oranges she had sold, as she could not read or write. I took a photo of her and vowed I would do everything in my power to help educate girls just like her. This was the war I was going to fight.”

He Named Me Malala review – inspiring documentary about precocious campaigner
5 / 5 stars

Malala Yousafzai’s moving story is one of great courage in the face of the Taliban, as she campaigned for the right of women to be educated in Pakistan

Thursday 5 November 2015 21.00 GMTLast modified on Friday 6 November 201513.00 GMT

The “he” of the title is Ziauddin Yousafzai, father of Pakistan’s teenageNobel peace laureate Malala Yousafzai. He named her after the Afghan folk heroine Malalai – a Joan of Arc figure who rallied Pashtun fighters against the British in 1880. So perhaps defiance was her birthright.
Part of the many pleasures of Davis Guggenheim’s outstanding documentary tribute is the light it casts on her relationship with her father, as well as on the nuances of history, on the British, on the question of who the oppressors are now. Moral courage and moral heroism are rare enough, but Malala Yousafzai’s story is especially moving. As a 15-year-old in north-west Pakistan’s Swat Valley, she had been a precocious campaigner for the right of girls to be educated; the grotesque bullies of the Taliban boarded her school bus and shot her in the head – grown men with guns against unarmed schoolgirls. She survived, was airlifted to the UK with her family where, after a number of operations, she made a remarkable recovery, mastered English and continued her staggeringly ambitious, now global campaign. She is as yet only 18.

The film is incidentally valuable in showing that her campaigning identity did not begin with being shot, like some comic-book superheroine. What will she not achieve? She has the natural leadership and presence of a young Aung Sun Suu Kyi; I found myself thinking of Samira Makhmalbaf’s 2003 film At Five in the Afternoon, about a young woman’s plan to be president of Afghanistan. Here is someone who has taken a bullet for values that she believes in. No squeamish cultural relativism: women’s education is a must in Muslim countries, non-Muslim countries, everywhere, non-negotiable. Guggenheim’s film is inspiring.

RR there is enough truth out there to win the war of propaganda without resorting to lies. Are you too lazy to even factcheck your BS before you post it? Or are you really dumb enough to believe someone would write that shit in a yearbook?
