He forgot that he gives cell phones to the same people he gives health care to. And pays for their cable too.

But he wants us, the guys and gals bustin' their butts every day, to drop our cellphones and cable so we can pay for our higher premium with higher deductible health care.

That's your Messiah.

Pay your premiums and you expect to be covered. Right?

Wrong?

Las Vegan Larry Basich paid the premium on his Nevada Health Link insurance plan in November, but as of Feb. 25, it wasn't clear who was covering Basich. The retired civil engineer had a triple bypass on Jan. 3 and now has $407,000 in medical bills. Basich is interviewed at the *************** on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014.

This is a real clusterfuck not a fake one.

It is time to scrap this plan, need to start over and have it lead by a team of experts not politicians. I don't believe him, a family plan for someone making 40 - 50 grand per year is not $300 per month especially if you have more than one child, My buddy makes between 50 - 60 grand with wife and daughter and his came to about $700 cheapest. So either he doesn't know what he is talking about or he is straight out lying which is bullshit either way. I do agree with him that a major problem is people won't get insurance until they are sick but right now the ACA makes it easier for people to get insurance when they get sick. If I were him I would just say let's start this over, the guy tried to rush this in so fast, IE: the public and most officials didn't know what was in the bill just blindly following, because he was believable. Rushing in has made the plan take even longer with the shoddy website and didn't focus on cost cutting.

He won't do this because of pride. There are many states that have health care for the poor. People that make money either have it or not.....that falls on personal preference. The younger people who love the idea will be opposed once they learn how much it cost.

I tip my hat to you for being a democrat and having the guts to stand up to a bad idea, regardless of party. Thanks for the honesty.....maybe more of this is needed on both sides of the aisle.

It was my understanding and maybe I am wrong that children can stay on parent's plan until 26? Very helpful for college students. To me universal health care sounds great, I think he has or had good intentions but maybe inexperienced and a little naive. To me universal health care sounds great, in a way it is universal anyway, people present themselves to hospitals who won't turn them away, at least here it the two main hospitals won't turn anyone away anyway, so on the surface it sounds great to maybe get people to get a regular check up or go in to see their own physician on first onset of symptoms instead of presenting to the ER. Well first off nobody is signing up for it, 4 million people? I think he thought people would sign up in droves, but for families it's just not that affordable, I don't know what most adults exchange rates are, mine varied from $268 - $400 with $330 being a what I considered a good coverage. Secondly the website is a cluster, when I tried to get on months ago I had to wait til 2:30 AM, no way was I getting on during business and evening hours. Thirdly, the providers have shrunk, some doctors went to private pay (wonder if that will hurt their practice in long run) and this keep your plan/doctor lie is a pisser. Fourth, I don't think health care professionals know what's in the bill, I know doctors who like the idea and are gung ho and I know doctors who are just taking a let's wait and see what happens approach and I know doctors who do think it's a disaster, all have different ideas and different interpretations. So to me this system is flawed because they should all understand it the same or close to the same. Nurses like me, we just kind of stay out of it, we are going to do our jobs the way we always do, unless this plan cuts down staffing to a larger degree. What really irked me is that Obama says that a family making 40 - 50 thousand is going to pay $300 per month, simply not true. If that was his true intentions then he needs to scrap the plan and find away to make it that affordable cause I think we all could live with that.

Delusion or denial?

BARACK OBAMA: I am absolutely confident that you will see millions of people benefit from this law. It doesn't mean that at some point there won't be some additional problems, or improvements that we can make. At this point, I think actually it is working the way it should, what we need to do is after the first year, we evaluate what the pool looks like, can we make sure that we're keeping the premiums low. Are there more people that look like we could potentially cover through other mechanisms reaching those who are still uninsured?

Outright liar.

Note: Health industry officials say ObamaCare-related premiums will double in some parts of the country, countering claims recently made by the administration. The expected rate hikes will be announced in the coming months amid an intense election year, when control of the Senate is up for grabs. The sticker shock would likely bolster the GOP’s prospects in November and hamper ObamaCare insurance enrollment efforts in 2015.

I should note that my exchange rates are for a single person, not family.

Many of America's best cancer centers are not at all participating with ACA

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Cancer patients relieved that they can get insurance coverage because of the new health care law may be disappointed to learn that some the nation's best cancer hospitals are off-limits.

I try not to think about our Senator. He could be an even bigger asshole than Obama. If he loses his Majority Speaker status come November maybe he’ll just retire. He can always go back to Searchlight and become the Mayor.

Under my health care plan, premiums will necessarily skyrocket and they'll be a lot of very sick people without health care. w-thumbs!^

Ouch!

The big auto bailout led to predictions that President Obama would become a car salesman. Instead he made a lateral career move by becoming an insurance salesman.

Car salesmen get to stay on the lot. Obama has become a door-to-door insurance salesman. His appearance on "Between Two Ferns" was humiliating not because the leader of the free world was taking part in a lame comedy routine, but because Obama was doing it to sell a product. Presidents have gone on Leno, Letterman and Saturday Night Live, but they have never sat awkwardly cracking jokes in the hopes that a few young people would stop by their website and bail them out by buying some of what they're selling.

President Grant went bankrupt and had to sell mementos and write Civil War articles to pay his bills. Obama isn't financially bankrupt, but he is politically bankrupt. His poll numbers are poor and ObamaCare threatens to break his party's hold on the Senate, leaving him more isolated than ever. Like Grant, he has made some bad investments and is desperate to recoup his losses.

ObamaCare has swallowed Obama and the Democratic Party. After all those years of Hope and Change, it's the only thing associated with him that most people can name. Unless a nuclear war breaks out tomorrow or an asteroid hits Washington, ObamaCare is what will crown Obama's presidency. And it isn't golden.

At best, the politician who promised to lower the oceans will have to walk away with nothing to look back on except a messy insurance scheme that his successor will either dramatically retool or eliminate -- that for all its hype did not thin the ranks of the uninsured, but instead implemented every horrible and contradictory idea that the wonks could throw into the policy pot.

The Insurance Salesman-in-Chief can see time running away from him. His legacy is being defined by an afterthought that his people quickly threw together to give him some speaking material at a left-wing health conference back in 2007. His foreign policy has come apart and his domestic policy is about to run into the wall of a Republican Senate.

And his only hope is to go around selling health insurance.

"The only thing you've got in this world is what you can sell," Charley tells Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's play Death of a Salesman.

After winning the Democratic Party nomination, Obama closed his speech by telling his audience that they would be able to look back on this as "the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth."

The oceans have ignored Obama and the wars have gone on. In his final term, his last gasp of power before losing the Senate depends on his ability to go on talk shows and sell insurance. Obama dreamed big, but now he is forced to live within the political prison of his own failures.

Videos are a bitch. I can’t wait for the usual suspects to tell us…

That’s not what Obama said.

You’re to stupid to understand what he said.

His words were taken out of context.

And of course… Obama doesn’t lie… Greatest president of our time… blah, blah, blah…

The Oregon Obamacare exchange has received $305 million in taxpayer-funded federal grants, spent $160 million on its busted website, dropped $10 million on hipster promotional ads, erroneously enrolled 4,000 illegal immigrants in full Oregon Health Plan coverage contrary to federal law, and has not enrolled a single Oregonian online.

I guess they heard about what happens when you enroll in Nevada…

More than 10,000 Nevadans who may think they have health insurance through Nevada Health Link actually aren’t covered at all.

That’s how many people are on the state health insurance exchange’s “pends” list, a roster of people who have bought or attempted to buy a plan through the Nevada Health Link website, but who still had no insurer weeks or months later.

Xerox officials said Thursday that they’re working hard with consumers to move them off of the pends list.

But officials with the Nevada Health CO-OP, a nonprofit carrier established by the Affordable Care Act to sell coverage through Nevada Health Link, wrote in a March 4 letter to the exchange board that the pends list is “so inaccurate, incomplete and unworkable that it has become an enrollment graveyard.”

Obama… At this point, I think actually it is working the way it should.
