Do we really know they don't have that information? They want to convict Nas, so it isn't as though that info would do any good.

Exactly.

When watching the first few episodes you can't help from wanting to strangle Nasir. Like dude wtf are you thinking.

First off to grab the knife? Stupid. Then to break back in. At that point after you realized you left your keys.....how do you not just call the police and explain shit instead of breaking back in. Insanely stupid.

Then to try to run away after they find the knife on you. Dude was just an idiot. All of those dumb actions could result in a conviction. Because those actions just don't happen with innocent people.

Interested to see how it wraps up. Can definitely tell it won't have a happy ending.

Nas isn't stupid, he knows he has to adapt to the prison lifestyle in order to survive. Freddie is definitely the fuel to that fire though. Seems like he is escalating Nas' persona on purpose. There isn't that much gifted in prison without some payback.

Think we'll find out Freddie was involved with the girl's murder. Step-Dad probably owed him serious money and lets Freddie know about pay-day if the girl dies. Freddie calls his guy on the outside to do the hit, Duane Reade. That's why Reade gives Nas the mean mug when the girl enters the house because he's not supposed to be there.

Think Nas probably ends up killing himself and then we find out what really happened.

Who knows but I like guessing. Feels like True Detective all over again.

Another great episode. The one guy pretty much shot down the prosecution's entire case on the stand. Missing knife from the set. Cut on Nas' hand caused by breaking glass on the door.

Still think it ends in a depressing way. Nas will probably be found not guilty but do something to remain in jail. Then we find out the real killer.

What I really hope happens is this starts playing and Rust Cohle jumps out and it's the intro to True Detective season 3.

He was never really wimpy to begin with. This is just the way he was presented in the 1st couple episodes. He threw a kid down the stairs in high school and could have killed him. As Freddy points out there is a rage inside him just waiting to come out. Obviously Freddy has other motives but that's another story.

and now we know it wasn't just that one kid ... threw a Soda can at another kids face and gave him 10 stitches
seems to have some anger issues ....

Series started strong but really fell flat after 3-4 episodes. Extremely lackluster and disappointing finale. All in all I wouldn't recommend the series at all. Dumb.

Courtroom scenes were awful. Female defense attorney was a putrid actress. Characters weren't compelling or believable. Storyline was played (good boy gone bad) and didn't go anywhere original. Waste of time.

I mean, Naz turns bad boy and gets "SIN" and "BAD" tatted on his fingers. How gay.

I loved the last scene..I was thinking what an asshole for taking the cat back to the pound and then the ASPCA commercial, he leaves and the cat walks by in the apt. He had a heart after all

Don't read if you havent seen and want to watch still....

Only character I had trouble understanding was Chondra. She made no sense why she wanted him on the stand that bad. Did she have something to prove that the viewers werent able to pick up? I don't know. But to go to the extent of traffiicing drugs for him so he isn't too sick to do it made no sense.

John Turturro absolutely dominated this show. From start to finish he was marvelous. Exceptional actor. The closing argument was powerful and probably one of the few reasons he got off. Besides the fact that the prosecutions closing argument was awful because she stopped believing it halfway through it

I thought this was a great show but didn't like the final episode. Wonder if they will do a season 2 and just continue it on...

Agree about the Final show ... But I think if they go a 2nd season, it should be a Totally different Story line
