This is crazy but true. The scene at the end where the hit men were killing everybody, well one of those actors was Frank Culotta who was the real right hand man of Tony Spilotro ( pesci's character) And the pool murder was really committed by Culotta in real life ( so he was in fact recreating a murder on film he had actually done - that's got to be a hollywood first) He got off extremely light for his crimes by turning snitch and and was used as a technical adviser for the film. After getting frustrated watching the actors fail to perform an authentic mob hit he said -F#@k it , I'll do it myself -( and Martin S. let him do it) Frank Vincent played Culotta in the movie.
