I just feel that he hurt his team more than helped when he would play hurt or tired. He had some horrible years and he still got all the attention that he did not desreve. He held that team hostage, they were more concerned about his streak than the team.

I hear what your saying, but anyone that sets arguably the hardest record to beat in sports is a lock for the HOF. It's between DiMaggio's streak and Cal's streak that nobody is going to break for a really, really, really long time.

Not sure how much that helped the team when he was batting 220 for the year. Not sure how much that helped the team to not get a day of rest throughout the season. Just makes no sense to me at all.

All I'm gonna say to you is you are way off base about this entire non issue...everyone has an opinion though, but your facts are wrong...the streak had NOTHING to do with his father, speaking of his father who was very much respected throughout MLB, opponents and teammates.
