I was thinking about putting more on the under but looking at the numbers that Reloaded pulled in, it's not asking a whole lot for this movie to pull more than 71 million over 3 days. But it does sound like early ticket sales are half of what reloaded's were, which isn't surprising after the backlash that Reloaded seemed to recieve from a lot of people. Are they going to see the final film even though they bashed Reloaded? f*ck if I know. Maybe Elf over 22 is a better bet, maybe not since resident bx office genious Lee has it pegged for 16.5 million. A lot of the message board nerds have it at 35 million plus. heh, good luck.
Just saw Revolutions. haven't checked the crowd reports but in my theater the crowd was surprisingly sparse. It was playing on 3 or 4 theaters, and it's not the busiest theater in the world, but still, this movie should have at least produced some crowds. My theater was about 65-70% full, could have grabbed tickets 5 minutes before the show and gotten good seats.
Oh and I thought the movie sucked. It was entertaining enough, in an Episode 1 kinda way, o.k. not that bad, but ultimately a huge dissapointment IMO. Bring on Return of the King.
well Gil, maybe you're right, just because people aren't talking about it doesn't mean they're not going to see it, I guess.
