The NL East is certainly over, but the NL West is very much in play. If the Dodgers aren't careful, they may miss the playoffs entirely yet.

But SF now begins their real test. SD, LA and Houston the rest of the way.

Cubs just need to win, because even if SF goes on a roll, that means the Dodgers take a fall and could fall behind as well. 18 games left for the Cubs and I would say 12-6 (92 wins) almost certainly gets it done. 13-5 and it's a done deal.

d2, the last thing you want is the giants winning the west. that brings the dodgers into the wild card fray. its simple, the cubbies take care of business and they're in...unless the giants keep winning too and the dodgers play so-so baseball.
