I saw you had a rough last 200.00 . I know budd , this game is extremely emotional. We have spoken on this many many times. I believe players get too caught up in the consistency of it all. Its almost impossible to do it the old fashion way as the edges are gone . Great handicappers can't make money any more as a win percentage of between 25 and 30 percent will leave you in the whole always as the rifts are there to gobble up the flyers . You have to be extra extra sharp and most of all have that bank of (160) or you just can't survive it . The secret to winning , is LOSING, I do my best to try and ingrain it into the psyches of all my players but most don't have the patience . Everyone looking for scores , It just can't be done this way.
Your capping is still good but to stay above water is almost impossible so being around the .80 to .90 mark is still very impressive for you Jack.
When I get some more time I will try and set up round tables for all the guys here and mabye we can get something rolling .
Anyway keep at it , go over all the mistakes and see where you could improve , . remember that any good value capper can go
8 for 500 at its worst downward cycle so knowing this makes you appreciate how good your capping still is . THese numbers are unfortunately the real realities and cannot be undone .

OK YES thx for the take. good info. Yeah losing my patience for the game so going to take a break from playing/running contests after this Fall game is complete. Maybe 3-6 months. Will continue to play on the tourney sites a bit but having very little luck there recently. And I am hoping MY state makes pari-mutel wagering legal soon as I am at my best in that arena. thx again.
Why not just keep tabs on the contests J ?? Everyone loves having you. You don't have to get involved betting . If you need some incentive I"ll front you $200.00 for your time , to keep you interested . Let me know if your state opens pari - mutuel again , would be nice as it is within your wheelhouse and you could protect your bank for long periods .
