Love the Kinks

Thats Going WAY Back.

You get into their 'Give The People What They Want' album at all?

For Us it was a Revelation, absolute Genius.

Came "Out Of Nowhere" for Them...some (totally unexpected) Radio Play in USA they got from it, already Late in their Career

16 or so Years after they Began......

That Album was 35 Years Ago :):)

"Late In Their Career" :):)

Just Curious if that was an Album that you knew. If not, its interesting.

Ray Davies was, is a God.

among mere mortals.

too few know this

I was born in 1981. My folks listened to a lot of Kinks when I was growing up. Remember specifically Misfits, State of Confusion, and the vinyl of their live release was a staple in our household for many years. I still remember the cover to that Live album.

I don't remember the one you mention, will have to check it out.

Holy SHIT. I would have never Thunk Such a Thing :):)

Chicagoland People are like that though. Mature beyond their years. Its why the ONE GIRL in all the World that I could not Score With was....

Chicago Girls. My Rap worked GREAT on Girls from Everywhere Else (except, kind of....Boston) but ChiTown Girls would just Turn & Walk Away. :(

One for the Road

That one was big too

Yeah, I think that was the Follow-Up maybe Live Release to the success they had (again, so unexpectedly) to that Album I mentioned above.

Today though, and within recent years, Politically Correct Society absolutely SKEWERS that album I spoke of as containing one of the most terrible songs in all of the history of recorded Music or even any form of Art.\

(End / cuz When They Pronounce We are just Supposed to Accept.)

And many among The Left posturing for Virtue stance like: "I am So Good & Holy. See Me as So Righteous." do actually say that Ray's song on that album was in fact the very worst ever.

Ray was trying to communicate some thing other than what these simpletons take it to be. Loss, Beauty & The Tragedy that accompanies Aging....Nature Itself.

Ray Goes Deep. PondScum just stays floating stinky bporing and loose of mind (absent) opinionating & devoting their "lives" to Destroying the lives of those they disagree with

or just fail to comprehend

because they are stupid.

Ha, you are not the first to tell me that. If it makes you feel any better, I feel pretty old.

Me too. :(

Yeah, they're still kickin. They still see a lot of live music. They still have the vinyl collection. :toast:

No Way. C'mon....compared to My Own Success Rate with ChicagoLand Females you are Clark Fucking GABLE or Ric Flair.

I'd hang out by The Statues of them two Lions in front of The Art Museum or whatever that Building was trying to Seduce Girls just to ensure success with Females somewhere ANYwhere other than Chicago. Like running 10 Miles every day to get in shape for a One Mile Race.

I DO Imagine though.....that a Chicago Guy, when he goes down to Alabama just......Delivers "Game" that captures ANY GIRL He desires in a given Bar.

and totally pisses off the native boys down that way :):)

Southern Hunting had to be a CakeWalk, for You.
