Good luck on the teaser KC, it looks pretty solid. I think the over is nearly a given, and I don't see Calgary losing by more than 10.

As you may expect, I am on the other side of this game (HoMeR AlErT!). The way I see it, BC is clearly the best team in the entire league, solid on both sides of the ball, with individuals who are no less than top 3 in the league at most positions. Anytime I can get the best team in the league at less than a FG (-2.5), I will take it. I never liked Henry Burris, and his ability to turn over the ball has always scared me. The guy loves to take risks, and BC has plenty of corners who have better hands than some of the Tiger Cats' wideouts. I'll admit that Burris absolutely torched the BC secondary last season, but he still had 3 INTs to go along with the 5 TDs he threw.

Conversely, Buck Pierce was right with Burris in the 45-45 game (after struggling in the first meeting). He threw for 252 yards before being injured in the 4th quarter. I'm not sure if you remember that game, but I'm pretty sure he was injured in the red zone (4th Q) when BC was up 4 and on the verge of putting the game out of reach. After his injury it took a last minute Calgary TD to send the game to OT. If Pierce is not injured, and a raw Jackson isn't thrown to the wolves, I think BC handily wins both games in Calgary. BC has a front 4 strong enough to cause tons of havoc with Burris and stop the run without having to stack the box, allowing the DBs to focus on Lewis and Rambo. IMO the only way Calgary has a chance is if Lewis and Rambo combine for over 200 yards.

I will definitely lay the -2.5 for a 2 unit wager. (5 being my personal max).

I'll be throwing down a couple units on that Argos/Bombers under as well... got a favourable number.

Also pondering the over for Edmonton/Sask and under for Hamilton/Montreal. That Eskies defense could be worse than Calgary's.

BOL

Homer alert!!! Lol, I actually thought about playing this game too but Calgary always comes to battle them. Agree the Lions are the most complete team on both sides of the ball. Good to know you are on the under as well. Good luck on the other games.

Third: Getting 50 points would have been a dream but good to know you are leaning under as well in the Toronto game.

Ice, Powerz: Good to know I am in good company. Good luck to us tomorrow on this game.

Geeze: It is great to see you. Hope you are doing well out there. Let me know how things are with the family when you get a chance. Shoot me an email.

One more day til kickoff!!!

Kingdom Come

I see that you have three positions in the CFL this week.
15 Units Under 45.5 Tor/Winn
25 Units Tease Calg +10 & Over 48.5 BC/Calg

With some of the value gone with the Tor/Winn total now at 43.5, if one has not gotten down yet, would you be more inclined to Tease the Under Tor/Winn with either the side or total from the BC/Calg game?
What I'm asking is, out of the three lines available now, which two in your opinion would make the strongest teaser?
Thanks

Though call. I mean I do like under 49.5 but in the position I am in with the under 45.5, I would not bet it. I really like Calgary +10 or even +9. I have a strong feeling they come out fired up and battle the Lions until the end. I don't see BC winning on the road by more than one score. So to answer your question, if you were to tease Toronto/Winny under, I would couple it with Calgary +9-10. Good luck whatever you decide.

Friday's forecast for Winnipeg is 70% showers.

also take note that punter Duncan O'Mahony will not play Friday. He broke a toe this week. Taking his place is placekicker Alexis Serna who will assume both placekicking and punting duties.Serna finished dead last amongst 119 Div 1A punters last season with a 35.4 average.

Weather is so critical in this league it isn't even funny. Thankfully in BC and Toronto, it means nothing.

As long as the WIND is relatively light, there shouldn't be that many problems.

Tha is good information Puck. How stubborn is Doug Berry not to sign Westwood for punting duties just until Duncan gets his toe fixed. Hopefully Serna can be servicable and not give up a short field all night.

Guru: Weather is a non-factor this time of year in the CFL unless it is rain. Not sure if it is the bigger ball or what but wideouts drop the ball like crazy when the ball is wet in this league. On the flip side of the coin, RB's do fumble more when the ball is wet but normally rain gives the under a bigger advantage as more WR's drop balls than fumbles will occur.

Powerz: Was it with bacon and cheese? Did you get a King CFL bobble head with your meal for an additional $2.99?

Pending showers in Calgary for their game against the lines could play havoc with the over. BC's defense is as stellar as there is this league and with both clubs having a solid running attack, that in itself hinders the total as well. Bol with your plays fellows. :howdy:

Venomous, may you have a prosperous and more importantly profitable CFL season. I look forward to sharing capping thoughts week to week.

Ivan: Not quite sure where you get your weather reports from but this is what is in the forecast. Good luck with your wager(s) sir.

Thanks Soprano, good luck to you too!!

After further research, I don't understand why Hamilton got bet down to a pick in their season opener. This is going to be a good game and I think it will be a battle but anytime you can get same quality teams at a pick at home, especially at Ivory Wynn, you take the home team. I think Printers gets it done tonight.

Official Play:

Hamilton moneyline -120 (10 units)
