These two clubs combined for 55 pts last yr out on the prairies; 53 points in 2006; another 72 pts in 2005; 54 in 04 and finally 63 in 2003. Actually I didn't feel like going back any further, so I called it at this point, being 2003.
Now I'm not so certain at all that a backup Roughrider QB, combined with a so-called hand injury on the Montreal quarterback, Anthony Calvillo, will slow these two squads down at all. The bottom line is quite simply that they just have a solid knack for putting up points, and plenty of them, on the scoreboard when they get together out in Saskatchewan. In any case, good luck just the same with your pair of under plays.

Why i the world would you look at 2003, 2005, 2006 data when you are betting in 2008? I guess the same defenses and same offenses are playing and I guess the same turnovers will happen and of course, the exact same weather will happen as well. Oh, AC had a hand injury that time too. Thanks for the useless facts, don't get me wrong, this game today could go over but none of your statistics matter at all. Did you make some coin last night by following Time to pay? :lolBIG:

I was on the under from the get-go in this one.

Montreal's offence has been MUCH better than it actually is. AC was a mess in the 2nd half after screwing up his hand last week, and I'm definitely NOT a Darian Durant believer. Bad weather just makes the play that much stronger.

I also took the Als this week and the 5.5 pts. I may kick myself for not catching the 6, but I think they've got a real good shot of taking this puppy outright. Though I agree that extreme past history means little, I DO believe that certain teams are just in the heads of their opponents, and the Alouettes have won 18 games against the Riders in the past 11 seasons. Pretty dang impressive.

Holy geez KC, sounds like I may have rattled your chain a little bit when I had my little bout with your little buddy yesterday.
Relax your laurels for cripes sakes.
I simply mentioned those stats for the benefit of those who might consider taking the under in today's game and yes, there are those out there who do consider such stats, whether you know it or not or like or or not.
Listen, I couldn't really care less which way you went today because I always check back to see how teams fared in their previous meeting over the years and when I saw that these two teams had played to consecutive overs out in Saksatchewan for the past 5 seasons or so, I decided to post it.
There are trends out there my boy and everyone, much to your dismay, enjoys and likes to read them from time to time when they are brought up, so as I said, relax before you have a meltdown.
As for your little buddy's game yesterday, whichever it may have been, no, I didn't wager on it if that's alright with you.
Afterall, there are those out there who do play opposite to your plays from time to time.

Okay, so if I was to play any total, it should be the under and I should expect to see a lot of dropped passes? Let me look into the total a bit more before I bet it. Do you know where I can get stats on wideouts hand size? and what percentage do they shrink?

This weather could certainly put the Lions wives and girlfriends into a doozey, what with the anticipated unit depreciation to be encountered. Look for an all out effort from the Lions tonight to keep all happy!

The Lions too some major flak from their girls at halftime, but in the end their units rose too the occasion to keep all happy!
I rode it out, no halftime hedge for me.
Well done KC!

Sorry, I lie. I went back and checked, it's 51.5 not 52.5. I knew I couldn't have possibly gotten a better number than the opener...

Only I could figure out how to have a team up 2 end up NOT covering +5.5 without Saskatchewan going for 2...

In other news, the East is now 0-7 against the West and the West has outscored the East by 104 pts this year.

Yeah, that was HUGE moose for Montreal backers. Bonehead turnovers late in the game cost them, and once again a team hands Saskatchewan a win. This team could easily be 1-3, but instead they are 4-0 and will be a fade for me in week 5 depending on who they play.

I don't think the West has outplayed the East by THAT much to be honest. Hamilton should have beaten Sask., Montreal should have beaten both Sask., and Calgary, Winnipeg was in it the whole way against the Lions last night, and Toronto just had one huge INT against Edmonton that cost them the game. The only real blowouts were Calgary vs Hamilton and BC vs Winnipeg in their first game. It could easily be something like 4-3 East right now.

See, I'm leaning that way, but I just can't pull the trigger on it. The Argos really are a much better team than Edmonton is in my book, but my book has been wrong way more often than not this year.

FWIW, I also think the game's going to go over the 50.5. Last two weeks, the average ppg is over 60.
