What was Jeffrey Dahmer's life in prison like?
Dahmer's short time in person was marked by conflict. He was kept in protective custody with limited interaction with other prisoners, although he was given permission to eat meals, take classes, and do work with other inmates after his first year. Dahmer would joke about cannibalism, shaping his food into body parts and using ketchup to create "blood" while taunting guards and other inmates about biting them. Prison pastor Roy Ratcliff remembered Dahmer having a Cannibals Anonymous Meeting poster on his wall.
