so how do you expect a model that predicts millions of deaths to predict less deaths when interventions to prevent more deaths are executed?

unless you have a time machine to replay the outcome in a parallel universe to report your findings, you can't say the prediction was wrong either.

I have simply had it up to here with people with their blind allegiance to these prognosticators that have a history of getting things wrong. People just so want to believe them (usually because it fits their political ideology). It's like cult worship. The IMHE models shifted by 60k deaths in a 6 day period and yet people just continued to quote it.
