So playoff games are not clutch, just nfc championship games?

5 NFC title games with no name receivers. Any team would love to have him except indy and new england.

the minute i saw philly laying chalk on the road it didnt take me long to flashback to 3 points the eagles put up on the road against the skins

Eagles gave up 10 that day .... 32 today - where's the comparison here? :think2::think2::think2:

I thought this thread was going to be about Flacco when I first opened it.

Kurt warner with a pair of recievers implemented into a offensive scheme any secondary would hate to counter...Vs a Jason Campbell that throws 3 yard to 5 yards at the most vertical with a pre season playbook is the difference.

ok, genius .... the Eagles defense was the problem today, not the offense that scored 25. :ohno:

McNabb made some lousy throws in the first half, brought his team all the way back, couldn't get it done at the end. IMO the Eagles defense lost the game, not McNabb. Akers didn't help either. Even if the Eagles had managed to win the game, there was a very good chance they would have still failed to cover - unless of course they scored a TD in OT.

The Redskins game is then irrelevant (which you had originally brought up) .... Eagles won 2 playoff games on the road - your point about a playoff team being favored on the road is valid.

yea a team that only puts up 3 on washington and ties against the bungles = irrelevant in capping situations. Just throw all that out the window when placing your wager because they beat a vikings team on the road and a giants team who literally feelt the shot in the thigh that was heard around world. Agreed with the OP hes simply a choker....

Did you also cap the Cards home disaster against the Vikes, the Thanksgiving game and the road demolishing vs. the Pats?? That had as much to do with today's game as the Eagles past poor performances ... the bottom line is the Cards were the better team and won today, Bator. Your Skins premise is completely irrelevant ....

im not gonna get into a debate about both teams entire body of work during the season. Simply highlighting mcnabbs choking performances in recent events....not throwing a single touchdown in washington in a must win game in the hunt for the playoffs....and not putting the bungles away in OT...to reaching the NFC championship throwing inaccurate passes down the stretch simply choking.....:ohno: I assume philly is your team due to your location yet, hes simply a choker

I agree with you about McNabb - that was never my contention however - I assume by your location you have no home town team to root for Chief ...

Hopefully the Eagles have a new QB next year (even though there's plenty of blame to go around for this loss) .... McNabb has proven that he is a good, but not great QB - any Philly fan that disputes that is simply ignorant (and I'm not just referring to today's game of course).

You can give me the "defense lost it for them" crap and the "McNabb doesn't play all positions" thing and you're right-but at the end of the day, you have to look at the last few minutes. The game was still within reach.

He made 4 bad passes in clutch time, when he absolutely needed to make a play, and they lost. That's it. If he made them we'd be talking about how clutch he is. But when he doesn't, we blame everyone else?

Story of McNabb's career. Most inaccurate starting QB in the league, and a choker to boot. Guy's always been overrated to me.

WOW!!! Do you watch any football or just "the last 4 minutes" of a game???
The Eagles would not have gotten down 24-6 at the half if their D could stop somebody. In spite of the huge hole the D put McNabb in, he still brought his team back and took the lead in the 4th quarter with about 9 minutes to play. Then the D, gave up what turned out to be the game winning touchdown drive!!! Some of you jokers that talk about only the "last 4 minutes of the game" really need to get a clue and really sit down sometime and watch a full football game. Learn the complete game then come back and make an intelligent post. PLEASE!!!!!

Anyone claiming the D lost it for them needs to stop picking one or the other and spread the blame. Both sucked. The D sucked but the game was perfectly winnable late in the 4th. McNabb in the clutch, sucks. I don't care about what he did before, how many times do we give a QB an A rating for being clutch after stinking the whole game? But we can't turn the tables? C'mon.

They did stop them. They certainly didn't rack up 48 points today, did they?

Bottom line-game was one score away in crunch time. McNabb had time, the kind of time any QB worth a shit will do something with, and he pulled his usual "over or under throw it" bullshit. I get you're upset but calm down, you're confused and being illogical. You're completely ignoring his horrible passes when he had to make good ones. Typical all good and no bad type rose colored glasses response. My reply was obviously intelligent enough to soar comfortably over your head, so politely, eat my balls.

yeah because he should have done more than 375 yards and 3 td's

he should have hit the XP and FG that akers missed

he should be held accountable for the 32 points his defence allowed

fuck some people are ignorant when they lose a bet

375 yards are misleading, McNabb threw 47 times, if you throw 47 times, you can get 300 yards by accident.
He had 19 incompletions, 13 of them his throws were either wide, or low, or both.
In the first half, I saw a totally confused QB, and if you look at McNabb's playoff career, you'll often see a confused QB.
I'll say it again, McNabb is not a big game QB, never has been, never will be.
Montana was a big game QB, so was Elway, so was Bradshaw, so was Simms........
McNabb is not in that class, not ever close.

...Then again, it goes without saying and I really don't care what people say or think as I'm not prejudiced but the white QB will beat the black QB nine out of ten times and it's been proven too many times over the years to count, including today. ...

You are right -- you aren't prejudiced. You're racist. Read the dictionary definitions to clarify.
