My whole thing is this :

If I am the coach of Dallas Academy, I mean what the hay. You have to design a play or a strategy to get your team on the board.

See, this is why the country has become pussyfied. Because of tear wiping, unfair screaming soccer mom and dads like this. Fuck that bullshit, its just a basketball game. What are you fucking people worried about now, the moral psyche of these kids? They'll get over it ok.

Shit my junior year in high school, Keyshaun Johnson's high school team whooped my squad 72-0. IN MY HOUSE for homecoming!! LOL, big deal.

I'm living a pretty good, satifying life now. I'm not emotionally scarred. Actually some of my teammates have a good laugh about it whenever I come back home to visit.

Get fucking over it you pussys.

btw..that 72-0 was a FOOTBALL score. not a basketball score. Yes. 72-0.

Dallas Academy has eight girls on its varsity team and about 20 girls in its high school. It is winless over the last four seasons. The academy boasts of its small class sizes and specializes in teaching students struggling with "learning differences," such as short attention spans or dyslexia.

Why would you keep score against special needs opponents? Was this game for a spot in the final four?

God forbid the kids play to their full potential.

It would be one thing if the girls were just "playing to their full potential" and the score just happened to end up like that. But when the coach is calling for 3 point shots and full court press while in the 4th quarter and up by more than 75 points.... obviously he was just trying to humiliate the other team. What other reason could there possibly be? Against a girls Christian high-school team no less. Of course he's going to get fired. What a moron.

So what? Why's no one complaining when Belilchick, Spurrier, Carroll, Phil Jackson or any other coach pours it on??? Bottomline the team didn't find a way to answer or put points on the board. And so what if its a "Christian High School? Why does that matter? My goodness its just competition and the other team flat out sucked royally. THATS IT. And as far as humiliate another team, if you gotta shot at goin 100-0 and ur close to it, then why not?

Why is that so hard for some of you to understand?? The negative reaction is acting as if the girls mentally are scarred for life.

Keep in mind guys... the other team wasn't mentally retarded or anything. Some of them had dyslexia or trouble pronouncing their "L"s or whatever. It wasn't a team of girls in chairs or anything.

Just want to point that out.

Actually people do complain sometimes when that happens. Not as much on the pro level.

And so what if its a "Christian High School? Why does that matter?

It matters because humiliating the other team is counter to Christian values. Which is probably why they fired him.

I actually find the story hillarious, but I'm not surprised the dude got fired. What possible reason could have for calling 3 pointers late in the game, other than to humiliate the other team? For practice? Not likely.

The sports talk radio station up here seemed to uncover the whole story, not the small slivers reality mixed in with propogranda that other media outlets have been reporting

Bottom line, the wrong coach was fired

Because they were trying to get to the 100 mark. So what? Humiliate or not, the other team couldn't find a way to score one puny basket.

And it never occurred to the coach that in trying to reach 100 points in that manner, it might humiliate the other team or at least have the perception of being unsportsmanlike? Apparently it occurred to the school who fired him.

We'll i know we'll agree to disagree here. Again I just think in competition, its A vs B. And thats it. Mismatches happen all the time. Being that the losing school was a Christian school should have NEVER mattered. I've been part of the losing side of severely lopsided game and I never once thought the opposing coach should be fired. It's flat out cowardly. It's like running to the principals office for being bullied. We lost, we were over matched, we got rolled. LIFE GOES ON.

This is a simple case of society asking for a fix from an out come where there was no cheating involved, no flagrant fouls. nobody was injured, no influence from refs. And most of all? NO COACH should lose his job because he beat another team, irregardless of the margin. It makes no sense.

Again the pussyfication of society.

then if this were the case the coaches should've forfeited the 2H. It's been done before. Blame goes the losing teams coaches.
