This happened last week. Baylor RB Devin Chafin was arrested...In Oklahoma, lol. You can't make this stuff up. Marijuana candy? I didn't know you could make candy out of shit...It couldn't happen to a finer school.
GRANDFIELD, OK (KSWO) –Baylor University’s starting running back was arrested in Tillman County for possession of marijuana.
Tillman County Sheriff Bobby Whittington stopped a vehicle on Highway 70, 13 miles west of Grandfield, Oklahoma, for speeding Friday morning. During the stop, the sheriff learned that Devin Chafin, Baylor’s starting running back, and a passenger, Jennifer Kerr, had marijuana and marijuana candy they bought in Colorado while on spring break.
“We are deeply concerned of the conduct of these individuals. Although marijuana is legal in Colorado, it isn't in Oklahoma. Also, the marijuana candy looks like any hard candy you could purchase in any store. We sure would hate to see a small child ingest this candy that has a high THC content,” stated the Tillman County Sheriff’s Office.
Chafin and Kerr were arrested and booked into the Tillman County Jail. They were released on a $2,500 bond Friday afternoon.
