dont understand what you mean. but i do know 2/3 of the BCS teams and well over half the D1 teams are east of the mississippi.

Yeah and most of them are basketball schools. There are plenty of stadiums on neutral turf. I don't care where they set them up. I know you are afraid to travel west but that's only a Vol nightmare, not a reality, and not necessarily where most of the bowls need to be played. If Pitt and Oregon State can meet up in Texas, anyone can.

By the way, the line is getting awful long... is anyone home?

still dont get what you mean, i dunno...but how could 2/3 of BCS teams be basketball schools when the BCS dont even apply to basketball?

besides the SEC has a tie in with the cotton bowl (also in texas ahem) vs a big 12 team ...all total the SEC has bowl tie ins with 7 BCS conference teams and the actual BCS game, how many does the pac-10 play ? why do they stay out west and play wac teams??? because the bowls are a season ending reward for the fanbase. if wash st played BYU in tampa...the attendance would suckass. what would be the point

but, hey i did find something you would like if you havent seen it already

check this link :

on mid left side theres a database you can click and see a lot of stuff showing how football talent is dispersed nationally

good lord, california teams should never lose with all that high school talent!

I was referring to the 2/3 east of the Mississippi when I mentioned basketball schools. And plenty of So.Cal recruits get away. See Jimmy Clausen for example. Too bad he got into a waste of a system at ND.

I think the landscape is getting better with more better coaching in the west... but the recruiting has taken a dive up to the north lately and that's been the armpit of the conference. Same same for '09.

Recently I read up on the Pac-10 bowl tie in and TV contract picture. There's a bunch of economic mumbo jumbo that someone has conjured up that seems to be how things have been done, but it's also been due to a horrible conference head office. We finally have been freed from perhaps the worst conference commissioner in the country... a la Mr. Tom Hanson, now retired. So we'll see. I know that the fans and alums are sick of his selling the conference down the river in numerous ways. It's not just my sentiments you are hearing.

But you should know that when I was a lot younger, I was the kid who used to crash big trucks and trains into each other for fun. Haven't changed much over the years. It's not really about ego with me, it's about the clash of the Titans that gets me off.

OK here it is. It's from CBS Sports.

I don't agree with the guy in a bunch of places.

Oregon #6 and USC #8?? I mean, Oregon returns about 9 players TOTAL! Notre Dame top 25??

:monsters-:monsters-:monsters-

USC #8 is a joke for sure. They should be much higher. ND wil be a legitimate top 25 team. They could go 11-1 with their crappy schedule.

HAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHA....Bama at # 4?

Tell me again who they are going to have playing QB?

talk about hell freezing over? wow, i never thought i would agree with lsu pete on anything...but now we actually agree on this?

bama should max be 13-15. 1st year qb, frosh or soph RB, only 1 playmaking WR, o-line meltdown, top d-back graduating. looking at 8-4 or 9-3 type year which certainly is not top 5

they also left off a big east team which is just ridiculous. as bad as the big east might be some team is going 10-2 and into the bcs. to just omit them from top 25 is a major error

I think every preseason and every early season poll is a major error.
