Everybody thought the fix talk was a bunch of bullshit in the NBA as well until some truth came out. I'm not saying this particular game was fixed, but 5 turnovers from one guy and 28 points scored by Buffalo off of fumbles? Who is the dude that said Buffalo exposed Ball State's defense?! No they didn't, bro. Buffalo's defense outscored their offense. Let's not forget that Ball St ranked near the top of the Country in not allowing turnovers and then tonight happens. Their all conference center was also a part of two fumbles and a freaking false start on 3rd and Goal from the 2 yard line! How does the Center get a false start penalty? He's the guy snapping the god damn ball. Throw in an offsides penalty on Buffalo on a 4th and 2, a no replay on a Ball St TD and a reversed call on an iffy Ball St catch....and something is rather silly in this game.

Forget about this game for a second, though. If you seriously think that some of these games are not fixed by a player or two, you are flat out silly. You don't think this stuff goes on? Yeah, right. And I suppose athletes getting money, cars etc. from the school they choose doesn't happen either. Riiiiiight. A poor college kid whose never had anything won't shave a few points or drop a few fumbles after having $50K or more waived in front of his face. Ooooooookay.

Dude, its one thing to not cover a spread and still win a game and completely different to lose a game. Davis intentionally fumbled, knowing that the ball would stay inbounds and that UB would return it 90 yards to to the house.

Was the none TD call on the previous play a bad call, yes. Does that happen in football, all the time.

If you think games are fixed, then stop betting. Does it really matter if a game is fixed, as long as you are on the correct side?

If there is anyone who thinks that certain sporting events are not fixed they're freakin ignorant. Theres always so much people bitching about there's no such thing as fixed games blah blah blah. Were you idiots born yesterday or last night? It is a proven FACT that games in the NBA & MLB have been fixed yet you sit there and deny it? What makes you think that ncaaf or the NFL is never fixed? R you people that dumb? Some of you will never learn...and I hope it stays that way you ignorant bastards.

There was no fix.
If there was a fix, Ball St. would have won and not covered the 15 spot.
Networks, sponsors etc. etc. will not make nearly as much money with Buffalo in a high profile bowl game as it would have with Ball State.

As far as the money line goes, anybody laying -600, or whatever ridiculous number you laid on Ball State m/l, has rocks in your head and deserve to lose.

Bottom line, Ball State sucked monkey ass lsat night.
Deal with it.

It looked like the Mac mafia got to Nate Davis, if you believe that the game was fixed. The Mac has a history of point shaving and fixing games, so it is not to far fetched of an idea. Just some food for thought.

Nobody denies that. however, you can still shave 15.5 pts and win a game. They didn't have to lose.

Yes, games are fixed, but how about Nate Davis had a bad game. It isn't like he is Joe Fucking Montana.

i only saw 2 turnovers. one was a pop he took trying very hard to dive into the end zone. that was just a lucky defensive hit right on the ball on a play Davis was giving an effort to make a TD. if the refs hadnt blown the call 2 plays before (it was an obvious TD that even the annoucers said should have been).

the other one was a miscommunicated snap by the center. hardly Davis' fault. interestingly the play before the refs overturn a completed pass to the 10 which, again, the announcers didnt agree should have been overturned and the play should have stayed as called...a completed pass.

refs had a big hand in this game unfortunatley

You mean the refs not Davis. Lewis clearly scored a TD before the fumble that changed the whole game. I also liked how they didn't know the rule when the ball hits the ground even if he calls for the fair catch he can pick it up and run. MAC refs are fucking horribe.

Yeah, just like when the Buffalo PR called faircatch and the refs picked up the flag right? Refs were bad on both sides. Buffalo getting PF for hard hit because refs called it helmet to helmet, which it wasn't. And that was on third down.

Yes, this does happen on rare occasions. But, not when ou're in the national spotlight with hopes of landing a multi-million dollar contract on the line. No bookie will cover that. Case closed.

Great Call!! Fixes and point shaving (if as prominent as some on here seem to think is), aren't going to happen on a national game, the only game of the night. It would happen, and again, I'm not buying that fixes happen all the time, it happens with smaller games that ppl aren't watching or paying attention to.

Buffalo was going to go to the International Bowl win or lose.
