[h=4]The only thing Mighty about this column is the deficit - still a healthy one, though MQ chips away a tiny bit with a lucky pick on Monday.

Reprinted from Dec. 18, 2012. Mighty was outside Madison Square Garden the night of the 12/12/12 Concert For Sandy Relief, when he spotted actor
James Gandolfini near the corner of 31st St. and 8th Ave.
Mighty got close enough to yell to Gandolfini, “I’m a friend of Big Mike (Scuch) Squicciarini from Rosedale.” Big Mike was also in “The Sopranos.”
Just then a homeless man approached Mighty, “Do you have any money? I’d like to get something to eat.” Mighty gave the man his change.
Then Mighty challenged Gandolfini. “Hey, Jimmy, this guy’s hungry. Give him some money.” Gandolfini pulled out $20.
“All I have is a twenty.”
“Give him the twenty,” Mighty told Gandolfini.
“Why don’t you give him twenty?” asked Gandolfini.
Mighty and Gandolfini smiled, but Gandolfini did give the guy that $20.
Mighty hit with the Rays. Tuesday: Red Sox. Deficit: 708 sirignanos.
