I realize I am new to the thread with no credibility, but with that said, here is my take on this game...

It's the standard, small chalk favorite move often delivered by him. Label it Game of Year, Game of Decade if you want, but I think Gtown is in the right spot for the win and cover here. I will be waiting until last minute to get better odds on the moneyline...

I am a fan of Louisville, and have friends that go to the school. Not that it means anything, but just throwing it out there. A few of them are skeptical of this game... This is from the same guys that said load up on Utah outright as 14 pt dog a few years ago, the same guys that said load up on ND outright two weeks ago...

The factors you have to look at is that Gtown is in a must-win situation, at home, on primetime television, fighting for their postseason lives. Gtown NEEDS this game much more than Louisville. With Gtowns remaining games @Vill, @SJU, Depaul, it is a must win- plus there is a chance they can get a bye for the Big East Tournament (They have no chance vs Nova on the road, as Nova is too deep and great at home--- that line will probably be Nova -5.5). Gtown is not going to try and outrun Louisville, because they are simply not deep enough. They are 3-4 at home in conference games. I think it will be in the mid 70s range.

The Big East has been kind to some home teams this year. I thought the refs were handing Syracuse the game on a silver platter vs Nova yesterday, and were lucky they missed 3 consecutive 3's that last possession.

If Gtown finishes 3-1 their last 4 conference games, they'll be in a good position to atleast make a run in the Big East tournament, wins over Memphis and Maryland at home will bode well for the resume, if they can make it to Big East quarterfinals, they will make NCAAs... but first up, they have to take care of business tonight!

Gtown wins 77-72...

Didn't Georgetown also NEED the game Saturday much more than Marquette?

There is more of a match-up problem with Marquette than there is with Louisville...

I had Marquette in that game, but the fact that the lost that one makes this one exponentially more important...

I am looking forward to this Greg Monroe-Earl Clark match-up tonight.

Take Lang's pick if you want... hes a lifetime loser on college basketball... all he does is take small-chalk ranked favorites on the road...

this is a tough one...Georgetown really blows and UofL plays great on the road, except the beating they caught by ND, but that was expected.

lastguy - also remember, Georgetown really needs to run the board and go deep into the BigEast to have any shot at a tourney bid (all highly unlikey).

I agree with the poster above, beating Marquette was a "must-win" too. I think your "due" theory is flawed and most gamblers fall victim to it.

You also sound like a Lang touter since you are new here and from philly, where Loser Lang is from. Hmmmmmmm....

I am aware of the gamblers fallacy, Mr. Blue. If Louisville wins, so be it. If Gtown wins, so be it.

Best of luck to both teams...

Mr. Blue,

IF Gtown finishes 3-1 down the stretch, wins one conference playoff game, they will make the dance as an 11 seed...

18-13 record, with a strong RPI/SOS... win over future #1/#2 seed Memphis, (although it was when Tyreke wasn't running the point, it is still a big win), #1 UConn, and a potential win vs #3 seed Louisville or @ #3 seed Nova...

No more posts of me trying to defend my pick, haha...

Ditto

hashahahaah 0 -3 it was!!! so no one posted? I wasnt on the fade b lang train .. sometimes I was .. we need to get all his plays on a reg basis.. so we can fade away and see how we do at the end of the week!!!! !

Is there another thread that posts his plays every day? I appreciate what Blue Sky does here, but if I'm going to fade, I can't afford to miss an 0-3 night after he goes 3-0 the night before.

well I would say if you faded him yesterday for the +30 dimes then go ahead and fade him today, but like someone else said, dont just try to jump on the fade after he has lost 11 of last 12, its just like people getting pissed at Kelso because he hit 20 in a row everyone jumped on him and hes been losing ever since, it is about timing just like taking a capper straight, you cannot just jump on the fade and expect to profit, I do feel Louisville should have been favored more here and it seems more of a trap line to me personally

Last statement to Mr. Blue/Cheddar....

If we are talking about a "due" theory, wouldn't I be
sucking off Langs pick at the moment instead of questioning him. After all,
he's about 4-16 his last 20 releases. He is due right??? hahaha

Thanks for the thread, by the way... much appreciated

I'm just saying that tonight is probably a no play (because Lang might be right) - I think Georgetown just flat out sucks right now and UofL is better than Marquette, IMO.

I think Lang is horrible because he bets everyday and bets 2-3 games a day. You will lose more of your bank roll in the long run that way. Notice how he still brags about those 30 and 40 dimes he won months ago??? Thats great and all but it's pointless, since he has given it all back plus more.

I only tail this guy during football season. During any other sport I will fade him on his smaller plays and not touch at all his bigger plays, unless those bigger plays are ripoffs of Budin, Indian Cowbay, etc. Which is factual that he does from time to time, steal their picks.

Consider the fact that he got incredibly lucky with the Steelers over Ravens pick and somewhat lucky with his SB pick, he'd be way in the hole...

No one cares about his stupid movie. Quite frankly, I am mad that I used to invest in his plays years ago... Being the young guy that I was, without discipline, he absolutely crushed me.

I hope and pray others don't make the same mistake(s) that I did...

SORRY TO ALL FOR TURNING THIS TO MORE OF A CHATTING THREAD...

Taking Gtown. It's the fade lang thread. Not the sometimes fade lang thread. Over the long haul he will lose and we will win.

Exactly right. If you're going to fade him, you need to fade every single one of his picks. That's the only way to guarantee that you make money. When you try to start cherrypicking, that's where you can get into trouble.

I fade lang on all but the free picks. Would you suggest fading those or leaving those alone and my reasoning is he actually seems to hit at least 50 percent of these and that is how he gets his customers by touting the free picks.
