well you got to use his unit scale - it doesnt have to be $100 per dime, it could be easily $10 per dime. He sucks because of the bigger unit plays he loses and his smaller plays even out. If you flat bet like you are doing your profits won't be as much. Just dont touch any of his football picks, as you can see from my daily numbers, his football picks yeild profits over the long haul, every other sport has been yielding losses for years now. But you need to stay consistent - DON'T EVER SPOT BET, you need a long-term goal such as a month, etc.

I try to use lines that are available at the time of his releases. The line in the game opened at 1.5, 2.5 at the time his releases were posted here, and hit 3 or a few places 3.5 about 1:30 ET. Game started at 3ET.

If that's the case, it would make sense to just fade the big plays and save the juice by passing on the small plays. Just trying to make sense out of this. I think half the folks on this thread bet units and the other half flat bet.

5 Dime Wisconsin - Great spot for the Badgers here against an Ohio State team that won't be able to match the Badgers intensity. First and foremost, coaching advantage to Bo Ryan. Secondly, better defensive teams win close matchups and most certainly that falls to Wisconsin. In the first meeting, the Badgers held Ohio State to 2 of 9 from 3, outrebounded Ohio State by 11 and won by 5. Wisky comes in winning 6 of their last 8 SU with the two losses being on the road at Michigan State and Minnesota. This will be a grind them out halfcourt game and that favors the better defensive team. Lastly, facing a team with a winning SU record and you find Ohio State at 1-5 ATS their last 6. Truth be told, if they are supposed to lose, they do. All Wisky today.

5 Dime Mississippi State - I love two in the SEC today and Mississippi State is one of those. More about Auburn this afternoon. This Bulldogs squad is rolling strong winning 3 in a row SU and ATS. However, you dig deeper and you will see that since their 75-70 win at home over South Carolina, their only losses were to Alabama, Tennessee and Auburn, arguably 3 very hot teams in the SEC. What I really look for in this game is much better than 9 of 26 from behind the arc. South Carolina is undisciplined and I just love what Auburn has shown me down the stretch. This is a Bulldogs team that is 4-1 ATS last 5 as a dog and 10-4 ATS their last 14 facing a team with a winning record. You throw in the fact that the Gamecocks are 2-5-1 ATS their last 8 overall and I am rolling with Mississippit State to advance here.

So how do you guys fade Lang? Do you fade against his dime numbers or just flat bet each play? I tend to trend towards the dime numbers but it's a lot less risk to just flat bet each of his plays.

My concern with his dime system is that he's hitting his 25 dimers right now and whiffing on just about everything else...so playing at a flat bet is likely a better play. However, the -750 dimes over the year in basketball/baseball tells a different story.

So I sent this email to Lang's people:

I'm curious as to how Lang is claiming a push on KState. When he posted his picks the line was at 2 or 2.5 (depending where you looked). One would think that is what he's capping the game at. Not until just before tipoff did it move to 3. People buying his picks already had plenty of time to make the play at 2 or 2.5 and thus would be taking a loss on the game.

We don't rate the games as wins or losses based on what the line was when the play was released, or based on the closing line. We base it on the line we feel most of our customers would have received. Since the majority of line moves are against the favorite (you see lines move from -3 to -3.5 more often than they move to -2.5) everyone knows that you should bet favorites early and dogs late.

The handicappers don't release lines with the games because when they post their plays we have no way of know what line the majority of their customers would get.
