The basic premise was right. But it no longer works because Lang does not give out the picks!

Not so fast. I never said Lang was good. Lang is a lowdown scammer who happens to be on a lucky streak. Where I part ways with the "crazies" on here like Pimpy is that I try to keep an open mind so I can make adjustments as events unfold. And I sure as hell don't allow a punk like Lang to take over my mind. These fruitcakes are obsessed with Lang, Lang, Lang. I know Lang must love knowing how he controls them like puppets on a string.

The basic premise for the Fade was right. Lang overbets and puts out too many plays because of his ego. But the premise of the Fade is gone now. DeMarco gives out the picks now (this was a business decision to turn things around) and his style is one pick a day, averaging around 10 dimes. Its crazy now if you are betting with Lang to be afraid of those 5 dime picks, they have been like gold. Lang is just a front man now. Would you fade a marble statue?

One thing I have noticed is Lang seems much happier these days. He seemed depressed about a month ago. Now that DeMarco gives out the pick and dime value, I am sure the pressure is off. He gets the credit for the streak, so that feeds his ego. The business prospers and there is more coin in his pocket. To the people that say he is only giving out all these 5 dimers to preserve his March record, think again. Look for things to stay the same going into April and beyond.

I stopped the fade as I don't see any use in fading all those 5 DIME-action-bets. I liked Lang more when he was chasing every other day to make up for an earlier loss, now it's just grinding. His money-management is much better nowadays and that makes the fade less profitable imo.

It will be interesting to see his MLB-picks next month, I hope he continues picking all those juicy favs as I love betting dogs in MLB. And we also have the NBA play-offs in May, that should be sure money with his terrible money-management when it comes to Series bets @)

Here is my thing regarding the whole Lang Fade in its current form. I think is is foolish to promote the Prime Directive right now, because clearly things have changed. Lang is now playing one game per day and has been doing this for more than a month. He has, for the most part, kept his dime values very low. He has trotted out mostly 5 dime plays, and he'll mix in a 15-dimer on occasion. When he -- err, Demarco -- feels really good about a game, he'll bump up the stakes a bit, but not much. Lately, we've been getting crushed on those types of games.

But what is so funny to me is that while Lang has changed, we have not. The Lang of the last two months, Super Bowl aside, is not the Lang we saw in 2009. This year's Lang has been much more conservative, much more disciplined, and frankly, much more right -- as evidenced by his current run and a previous hot run that he had.

So while Lang has changed, why haven't we?

Why are we still using a system that clearly won't work if all his plays are at 5 dimes or 10 dimes or 15 dimes?

It's about making adjustments. It's about adapting. It's about changing.

It'd be like sticking with your cordless phone when cell phones are available? Do ya'll use Wikipedia, or do you still use your trusty Encyclopedia? Phone book, or Facebook?

Lang has changed, and we must as well. Right now, I don't have a better alternative, and neither do you.

But the reality is this: if Lang continues this style, the fade is worthless and won't be profitable. And even if it is profitable, is it really worth it? Finding the plays, waiting for the plays, worrying about missing them, and so on, is such a chore.

Maybe not for Pimpy, who sits in his mom's basement with his math textbooks and calculator, and maybe not for Peppermill, who sits on this site all day just waiting for a chance to say something retarded, but for many of us, yes, it's a waste of time.

No lie, I'm going to check this thread and see what Lang has, mostly to avoid whatever pick he plays on. The guy still sucks, and I don't care how hot he gets.

But this fade sucks, too.

i made a good amount fading this asshole since sept and no 50 dime winning month is shutting me down..i will be here regardless...he could keep spitting out his "winners"...this guy is a proven long term loser...similar to yourself...with his bullshit 5 dimers it will take him a year of straight winners to put me in the red...its funny that all you trolls come out when this guys get alittle hot...where were all of you the last 4 months of 2009?

I don't post on here, but I have been fading lang with the PD for almost a full year now. I think that the enormous popularity of this thread is actually starting to hurt us. Before this thread nobody exposed Lang so thoroughly. Now that he was exposed he is starting the realize the error of his ways. (for now at least). I am thinking that if he never saw this thread he would have continued to ignorantly throwing dimes away like they were nothing. Somehow this thread has helped lang.

Yeah, TEMPORARILY. He had 3months similar to this last year, still ended up down 1600+, faders up 800+. He won almost 100 units (good bit more than this month) last year sandwiched by 3 months losing 1300+. Give it a break. His record may be good, but it's his ego and money management that gets him in the end and fills my pockets. I lost 1/7th of what I won last year. I'll take that for as hot as he's been.

You are of course correct. A classic example of "killing the goose that lays the golden eggs." Many attempts were made to point this out by several in the past and they received the usual pillaging along with quotes like "Lang will never change...he has too much of an ego...blah, blah, blah" This thread has always been more about "bashing than cashing." The originators of the thread let it get out of hand and have no one to blame but themselves. But then that is a foreign concept to them.
