Ive understood some of their past controversial things they have done in the past and knew what the angle was they were trying to persue, and I agreed with them.
Yes of course this will be great for their most loyal demographic but NIKe is one of those companies that have always appealed to a wide range of people from all races and incomes .
This just don’t fit in with that .
I hesitate to call this move idiotic . Only because of the tremendous respect I have for what NIKE has done in past marketing the last 30 years.
Maybe they thinking at a higher level then me and I’m looking at all this wrong .

Didn't really surprise me but the only thing that did surprise me is how far behind the cultural zeitgeist this move was. I can see doing it 2 years ago or last year but Kaep is old news now really. Unless you are on social media all day, you really don't hear about him much anymore. I don't even think his supporters care much about him anymore, so all you really do is alienate people and give the people that live for faux-political outrage stuff something to crow about.
