This is right.......but the thing is, its not the scenario in this game because the line has moved 2.5 points, which means, the big sharp money is on Carolina.

Let's see what happens next week around this time

Most likely early caro bettors will be looking for a middle
Caro -3
Den +7
Etc...
Not saying it will happen just a thought

Lets hope the "betting masses" push this line to 7 or above. Denver's defense is nasty, look how they controlled Brady for 90% of the game in a manner he had not been controlled in a playoff game.

If this line gets to 7 or above, well worth putting a significant bet on Denver and the ML.

Also, check out the very strong language being used by Carolina bettors in this forum, they are convinced the game is over based on an inflated record versus a very week schedule and recency effect of Panthers' destruction versus a lost Carson Palmer.

Go back and pull up threads from the Seattle-Broncos Super Bowl a couple years ago, the Carolina bettors sound a lot like the Bronco bettors that year.

Additionally, you think the NFL wants "Golden Boy" Peyton Manning to ride of into the sunset with a poor showing in his last game, c'mon man...

Books want Denver money right now. Too lopsided. Could easily go to 7. On pinnacle you can get 7 for -140. I got Carolina at 3.5. Deciding to middle or just let it ride. Denvers defense better be watching tape from all 18 Carolina games on Cam.

Sorry, but not following you comment at all. I have no idea on the threads from the Seattle-Broncos game since everyone I knew liked the Seahawks on that game (regardless, it's meaningless). Not going to say Carolina had a strong regular season schedule, but they arguably beat the two best teams in the NFC in Seattle and Arizona. I find it humorous at how much credit you give Carolina vs Arizona (so I guess it was all because of Palmer and neither Carolina's defense or offense had anything to do with it....I thought Arizona had an incredible defense? no?). It's actually pretty rare for a spread to come into play on the Superbowl. You typically just pick the winner and the spread victory seems to go hand in hand. I think just going opposite people based on the "strong language" they're using isn't exactly very analytical. And sure, the Broncos defense played great, but they're not at home now and if they get behind, I don't think too many people think this Broncos offense is going to be able to put up points quickly. Clearly they'll try to control the clock as shortening the game is to their advantage.

Well Carolina played Arizona and Seattle who btw were not extremely competitive this yr. ARI reminded me more of Atlanta vs Seattle division game. Seattle was auto out due to losing the SB. So their stats took a back seat this yr. Carolina didn't olay that tough of opponents. Reason why they scooted on ice through it all. Not saying they won't win it. But they ain't blowing Denver out the water. Manning may not do a lot? But Eli didn't do shit and he's got 2 rings? So anythings possible.

Isn't it crazy how Eli has 2 rings beating one of the best teams ever........& he's not even in most peoples top 20 Qbs of all time.

My friend said he wouldnt put Eli in his top 50........Giants got hot at the right time in 2007 & 2011.

Goes to show you that the hot team at the end can go all the way. The Giants were not the best team in either of those years, but at the time of the playoffs, they were playing at another level. This Carolina team looks hot right now. And prior to the playoffs, the oddsmakers had Arizona and Seattle #1 and #3 as the teams most likely to be the champs. They ARE and WERE very good teams.
