I think that they could have ended the movie quite a few times, but they just started reaching to keep it going.

I guess I don't see why batman went to choose Harvey instead of the girl that he was in love with. When he got Harvey Dent they made it seem like Harvey was in on it and expected them to go get the girl?

Also, thought the boat scene was going to have a twist like their remotes were for their own boats or something like that.

So at the end when the joker is hanging there, he is telling batman that he had someone in his pocket. . he was talking about Harvey Dent right?

They kind of completely disregarded the mob plot most of the movie. First he was all involved with the mob and the guy from Hong Kong and then that kind of ended as it just became a chase with Joker against Batman.

Then Joker burned "His" half of the money, but batman wasn't dead yet?

All these questions, anyone have answers?

"begins" is the way to start for sure. no back story needed.

bale and nolan (director) signed a 3 picture deal if i am not mistaken, so i would expect one more.
Agree. Just forget the other movies, they arent that great and are completely irrelevant to the Dark Knight saga. The other ones are candy crap. Watch begins and then this one.

Will be in the red box in about 2 months for a $1 a day rental. Unless your about 10 years old I don't see how this is a must see movie.

The first Batman is the best one out of all of them. Michael Keaton way better Batman than these guys IMO, even Bale

I don't care how good people thought Ledger was in this movie. Jack Nicholson was better
You are buggn.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dqAvubu70Yc&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dqAvubu70Yc&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

Candy Jack and it's Jack with make up on has nothing on Ledger who just totally absorbed himself into the role.

"Wait until they get a load of me" has got nothing on "Why so serious?"

I will sort of agree on Keaton. I think he was better than Bale I admit it. The very 1st Batman flick wasnt the popcorn non sense the last 2 of the early movies were.

Batman did not go for Dent, the Joker changed the locations...
He had Dent in his pocket.
Joker burned the money to show the mob and everyone else it was not about the money.
The boat scene was about the people not all being corrupted or corruptible. it would not matter who had the remote to who... they were not willing to kill each other.

Ledger smacking his lips constantly in the movie = fucking stupid, just as stupid as Bale lowering his voice and sounding like a retard when he's in the bat suit.

Congrats to Ledger for having a better makeup job than Jack. Jack still blew that role out of the water. Ledger did a good job but trying to change the inflection of his voice all the time made no sense. Jack way better than Heath
Everyone who has played Batman, they all lower their voice when in the costume. Some do a more convincing job than others.

HL, occasionaly smacking his lips with his tounge I thought was a good job of being in character. Helped make him come across like the total psycho he is.
Jack makes the Joker nutty. Heath made him look twisted and insane, like he is supposed to be.

They really are two different types of movies. Jack is talented enough if you needed him to be as dark as Heath, I'm sure he could have done it.

jack's joker is a joke compared to where ledger took the character.

i like bale as bruce wayne. he sounds like a complete douche as batman. the bullshit that the joker pulls off in this movie is a little too unrealistic for me. makes the entire city of gotham look like retards. noway in hell was ledger near as good as jack and if this movie beats out iron man for any awards, you can bet they will be sympathy awards. a decent movie, but one of the most overhyped ive ever seen.

All the hype for this film is because heath ledger is dead. Most people didn't even know who Ledger was until he died and it made the news. I seen it twice, once on bootlegg and once at the movies. Best film so far this year. This film wouldn't be the same without Ledger's performance. Too bad it took death for people to appreciate this guy's work.

Who did this role better, who did that role better. Any way you slice it, the two Christopher Nolan directed films are a world better than the other 4.

The Dark Knight is intense, it's in your face, it's flat out AWESOME. It's a non stop thrill ride from start to finish. Without a doubt, this is the greatest action movie since the first Indiana Jones.

Agree with your second point.
But the only way to see a movie like this in the theater.

Nicholson better Joker than Ledger? Well you have to take into consideration these are two different Jokers character wise. One is a whitty, almost clownish joker (with a villainous side to him). The other is a darker, more sadistic Joker. So maybe its tough to compare.

With that said, I'd have to give the nod to Ledger. His character was simply haunting.
