Kansas coach David Beaty has hired OC Doug Meacham away from TCU. That is quite a coup for a KU program with a 2-22 record in the past 2 seasons. TCU had one of the nation's most prolific offenses in 2014 and 2015 under Meacham and Sonny Cumbie. The Frogs struggled with inconsistency throughout the 2016 season after losing QB Trevone Boykin and 4 other seniors to the NFL.

Former Ohio State wide receiver Torrance Gibson has committed to joining Luke Fickell at Cincinnati and will return to playing quarterback. After his two years with the Buckeyes didn't work out following a redshirt year and a university-issued suspension, Gibson has enrolled at Cincinnati State to get an associate's degree that could make him eligible this season. "I'm confident about what is happening in the Queen City," Gibson told ESPN. "I'm just ready to roll."

Texas RB D'Onta Foreman won the Earl Campbell Award tonight, honoring the offensive player of the year from the state of Texas. Foreman, who's entering the NFL draft after leading FBS in rushing, beat out Alabama QB Jalen Hurts, Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes II and the Oklahoma duo of QB Baker Mayfield and WR Dede Westbrook for the award.

Surprising news on the decision by Nebraska coach Mike Riley to fire defensive coordinator Mark Banker. Banker has worked 20 years with Riley, including the past two in Lincoln, and followed the head coach to Nebraska from Oregon State. They also spent three seasons together with the San Diego Chargers and one season at USC. The Cornhuskers ranked 10th in the Big Ten in 2016 in yards allowed per play, yards per rushing attempt and passing yards per game.

Clemson coach Dabo Swinney is 52-8 in his last 60 games. During that stretch, he's won two ACC championships, a national championship and has beaten Ohio State twice, Oklahoma twice, Florida State twice and Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Notre Dame all once.

Nah I'm saying they should have done it again! PI on purpose. Tackle or hold every wr off the line of scrimmage. Would have forced overtime. I hate Bama I'm happy but still it was idiotic to let any wr run a route there.
What is the purpose of another PI? Move them closer? Game can't end on D penalty. Please explain to me your thinking.

When there is only time on the clock for one play from the 1 yard line or the 2 yard line does not much difference. It would have put Clemson in the position to kick the field goal or play a do or die from the 1.

Edit: not sure the rule, but a second pass interference in the endzone might keep the ball at the 2, not sure if they go half the distance.
