TCU just gave up 30 to Kansas, so Texas should be able to get 14. Texas has quietly been playing pretty well. Think there is a real chance for a SU Texas win.

That's beautiful.....like TCU gave a flying rat's ass about the chicken hawks, LOL. Thinkin like that is what makes for a losing season my friend.

"I can honestly see a SU Texas 14-point win." So you're assuming Texas can score 14 in this game....hmmmmmm.

Gary Patterson has always been able to spin the heads of first year QB's. Swoopes has his work cut out for him.

Kansas benefitted from some early game buzzz and some defensive luckery.

Horns are not Bama whose D slaps people silly in Home games.

TCU 31 TEX 21

Texas held that awesome Baylor offense to 21 points. WVa offense which isnt bad either struggled to score as well.

TCU got a scare their last game and may come out really prepared and ready to RUTS.......but CAN they? we've seen teams needing style points struggling to (Baylor, OhioSt...)

Can they stop the Texas run, though? That's what Texas will surely lean on.
And Swoopes did play last year and now has over a full year under his belt....so maybe that will help. Hard to say. Swoopes has been erratic this year but seems to be improving and cutting down on mistakes now that everyone is off suspension and healthy. It helps the defense has been playing better so the offense doesnt have to press as hard to make big plays. This will be a very telling game for Texas and how far they've come under Strong.

I think it will be a great game. It's a tough game to cap because I know how good Patterson is coming off a bye week. I've actually done pretty well betting on UT this year. I had a feeling they would get better as the season goes. Both teams give off mixed signals on their play from week to week. Texas defense looked great against OSU. Not so great against WV the game before in which they gave up 450 yards of offense and 200 yards rushing. But they did keep them out of the endzone. TCU plays well at home. But when you take them out of the state of Texas and stick them in cold weather they turn very docile. But they play well as long as they stay in Texas. Like they did at Baylor. Patterson always makes it hard on opposing offenses because his special teams are so good and they make field position a constant issue. One thing I do really like about the Texas defense is they've only given up one pass play over 39 yards this year. And that was a dump off pass to a RB during garbage time of their game against Texas Tech. In order to beat Texas you have to chip away at them. They aren't going to give you any big plays unless it's on the ground. Should be a good one. I think this game is all about who can establish the run game better and make the fewest mistakes in the passing game.

Texas is getting pounded by the professionals. Line is down to -5 and even some -4.5s at some locations

Agreed. And they have a shakey OL when they have to pass block. Give me the team for Ft Worth in Purple/White

Texas defense continues to be awesome. The offense just keeps killing them repeatedly..... *sigh*

This game proves how bad the big 12 is. Texas has actually won some games and they are pathetic
