X, should we have just left the oil fields alone and let Saddam light them up like 1990? That did wonders for the enviroment didn't it?

First, it is not my contention that the oil fields should be left unprotected. It is my contention that the oil fields, especially in the first days of an invasion purportedly about searching for bloody chemical and biological weapons, should not be prioritised higher than the security of any weapons inside the country. Reckless disregard. Now your troops could well be shot at by these same weapons. Use your head, man.

You know, the fact that they didn't give a rat's ass about whatever weapons might be kicking around the country says alot for their oh-so compelling argument that the place was just crawling with WMD, doesn't it?

3 tons of ammo are nothing compared to the 400,000 tons we have captured (even assuming, which the facts say otherwise, that the 3 tons were still there when US troops arrived). People that I know who have returned from there say that there were ammo dumps in just about every school they ran across...awfully hard to secure so many of those dumps.

Are you EVER going to get sick of defending this jackass? It's like you have Battered Wive's Syndrome.
