Whew. Lets tone down the rage. Nobody knows if they would have or not.

Sorry, living in one of the most liberal areas in America my whole life brings the rage out sometimes...

You speak the truth though.

Funny, President Bush has accomplished more then anybody here mocking him. He probably does more everyday before you wake up then you do in your entire day. He's also personable and witty in person by all accounts I've ever read. He does have some comical moments public speaking, but he's had great moments as well.

The only time I've seen him talking to people one on one was after the last State of the Union (I think) when the cameras stayed with him as he walked out. He knew everyone by name and what their issues were. I thought he looked sharp.

Of course, some people prefer a man like Clinton, who's first inclination is to lie or bullshit everytime he opens his mouth. The truth just isn't good enough for him, he must embellish 24/7.

You mean the Q/A where they acknowledged that they already picked who could ask questions and he was informed of the questions ahead of time?

What a champ - he can answer pre-screened questions and called the questioner by name!

Yep, thats' what I said.

The Straw Man Fallacy

The Straw Man is a type of Red Herring because the arguer is attempting to refute his opponent's position, and in the context is required to do so, but instead attacks a position—the "straw man"—not held by his opponent. In a Straw Man argument, the arguer argues to a conclusion that denies the "straw man" he has set up, but misses the target. There may be nothing wrong with the argument presented by the arguer when it is taken out of context, that is, it may be a perfectly good argument against the straw man. It is only because the burden of proof is on the arguer to argue against the opponent's position that a Straw Man fallacy is committed. So, the fallacy is not simply the argument, but the entire situation of the argument occurring in such a context.

Don't worry, I'm moving on now.
