My DVD lady had it the other day, so I picked it up and watched it
I say it was ok, if I had to rate it... I'd give it a 6
Thought the Asian chick was Hot ( won't give away anything )
Since I buy these Movies like every other week and put up anywhere from 5-10 each time it cost me $4 buck
I do this more than watching online because I can then pass them along to friends
With the 90% Rotten Tomatoes rating this movie got, I was really wanting to like it more than I did. It's not a disappointment, but there were certain things about it that just turned me off. I agree with one of the posters that said it was slow. It is that. But I can live with that. With the exception of Ava I really didn't care for the characters in this movie. Ava was presented very very well, and some of the exchanges with the kid testing her were very emotional and well done. But on the other hand, Nathan was a giant alpha douche that almost ruined the entire movie for me. Also, I never thought I would say this because I usually like these things, but there was simply too much trickery, drinking, sexbots etc. and not enough actual scientific exploration of these A.I. beings. Another 20 minutes of this subject could have made the movie even more interesting. It also wasn't the ending i wanted. It kind of left me unsatisfied. Although i can understand why they did it this way. I would rate it a notch under what most of the critics are saying about the movie and give it around a 8/10, for what it's worth.
