I understand the teams, media, fans & the rest of the world need ample time to prepare for the big game.

But do you like that dead weekend before the Super Bowl?

I can't stand it.

Feels as if they are prolonging the inevitable end of the season...

Makes a great time to be betting the over in the Pro Bowl.

What do do they have the over/under setat this year, 200?

If college kids have to play the BCS championship game a week after playing the final 4, paid NFL men should have to play the SB a week after the champ game.

Two weeks IMO is too long.......

Too long of a wait. Selfishly I feel it’s too much time to over analyze the game and talk myself into some stupid bet. Let’s get the show on the road!

I'm cool with it too. As a fan it's annoying long wait but for the game itself it seems like a good thing.

-Players a bit of a chance to rest and recover some aches and pains to be closer to 100%.

-not too long as to get rusty, if anything, teams seem to play great after their bye week

Why not have the teams at their best. Not to mention with all the distractions one week isn't a good amount of time to prepare when you think of all the off field stuff.

It's fine. Halftime show is the worst though.

No reason to have a 40 minute halftime when it is 12 minutes every other game. This is a pretty drastic change and a harder adjustment for players/coaches than people realize. Just because it is the championship doesn't mean it should have such a unique element like that to it. No other sporting event has any other wrinkle like that for it's championship.

But tons of casual viewers tune it for it so it'll never go away.

So just ignore it? It's not that hard.

Unfortunately you can't ignore a close to 1hr stoppage in the middle of the game.

heck most people are drinking, eating and talking smack at all the parties, you got to have a hr to get your groove on with the gals while the game take a pause for the cause.it more about the parties than the game anyway
