you are partially correct... http://www.tellshowbcs.com/SOSP.html

texas had the strongest schedule in the nation and they beat oklahoma on a neutral field by 10...

what you are wrong about is usc... if they were as good as you say they are they win two days ago 65-10 but they have inept play calling and unfocused and undisciplined players to say the least.

alabama is not a bad team, utah is an awesome team who could beat anyone if the circumstances were right...

I don't know about all that...Oklahoma easily played a better schedule than Texas. OU played TCU and Cinci before Big 12 play even started. You could easily argue USC played a tougher schedule the way the PAC 10 finished the season.

In regards to USC, I'm convinced they are the best BIG game team in the nation. When they get ready for a big game no team in the country is better.

Because the strength of schedule varies so widely is why there should be a playoff system.

Let them play it on the field but not just a one game scenario like a bowl game. Utah may not be the best team in the country but if they went into a playoff system and beat Alabama, then beat USC and then beat Florida then regardless of their strength of schedule, they earned the NC on the field.

America is built on Cinderella stories. Couple years back, Boise State ber Oklahoma. Okey probably wins a head to head matchup 8 out of 10 times but what is great about playing the game is that you have to go out there and earn it. It's not some stupid ass computer rating or some jerk weed coaches poll.

Opinions are too subjective, let the teams play it out on the field.

click on the link in my previous post... it is the computers man, they say UT played the tougher schedule. if the computers supported your argument and had USC at the top you would argue that they are correct, but they don't.

throw whatever team names out you want or talk about how the Pac 10 finished up, whatever that is supposed to mean...

you could not argue that they played the tougher schedule just like you could not say USC easily has the most talent... the former is proven by statistical data and the latter is entirely objective and is like saying red delicious apples are clearly better than granny smith apples if they live up to their potential.

it is retarded.

EXACTLY!

Just curious but do you think Utah is truly a better team than Alabama? I am fairly confident in saying no. This was not a normal setup for this game & it ended up playing out bad for them. Alabama has more talent from top to bottom than Utah. However Utah was the better team today but overall, they would get beat more times than not by Bama.

Did you watch the game? UTAH DOMINATED them on BOTH sides of the ball...

Utah took advantage of an Alabama team that had a reshuffled OL. They did what they were supposed to do & take advantage of that. However domination does not include

However top to the bottom they are not the better team. I give them respect for what they did. They were in the right place at the right time & wanted it more.

If you want to see domination, watch what TCU did to this same Utah team. Utah is not even the best team in its conference. The knee jerk reaction is to proclaim them one of the best but they are not.
